New small girl in our home
Hello everyone.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... ;-)
Actually, not so long ago and in our galaxy, I was browsing flickr's Mamachapp group. And my daughter looked at them, too, and said that she likes them.
But as almost anyone knows, they're hard to get. So i thought, I'll make a new small girl for my small girl.
Everything began with a set of fine brushes, several acrylic paints, sheet of decal paper and a simple airbrush.
And of course I had to order doll parts. So i ordered the the Obitsu 23cm body (23BD-F01N) with the F01 blank head (21HD-F01N), and a brown 4.5" wig. Wig is made by Parabox (PW23-07-SB) .
So there is a little Christmas gift for my daughter :-)
It's not the original, but it was fun to make, and now it's fun to play with. Doesn't have a name yet.
She's wearing Re-Ment clothes and is armed with dangerous fine pointed brushes. In use was mostly the 5/0 one.
Eyes are made of white gloss layer (Lifecolor acrylics), then decals printed on transparent foil (thanks to n66x from flickr) and painted golden brown iris (Valleyo acrylics). Eyebrows and lips hand painted with brown Louvre acrylics. Everything sealed with Lifecolor matt clear acrylics and a simple airbrush.
Basically, it was first in my life work with acrylic model paints, brushes, airbrushes, decals and related things. But I think, it turned out well.

Hi all!

Look, spare eyes! They're blue!

Head in the making, without the wig.

So that's how it's done. I was wondering about that.
I'd say you've done very well for a whole string of firsts.
Thank You very much.
That's how I made this, but there are other options.
For example, in most cases factory decals don't need the the white layer or additional colors. If You use white decal foil, the white paint is also not necessary.
Dolls made by Mamachapp, Azone or other companies have (probably) mask painted eyes. AFAIK this means, every layer of color is made using some kind of stencil and an airbrush or other painting device.
You can also paint the whole eyes using acrylic paints, layer by layer, using brushes, airbrush and maybe masking tape. I simply didn't have the time and skills for that - started and made it at 22nd December afternoon :-)
I even have an idea, how to make stencils for that, but have to check it out first.
