Otaku Crafting Project 01: Black Scarf COMPLETE

After finishing National Novel Writing Month in 2009 I decided to take up the challenge that was thrown down to us novelists: continue making 2010 a year of doing "big, fun, scary" things.

So I took up crochet.

The last time I did anything of this sort was...well over ten years ago, when I was still in grade school and trying to scrape up a decent grade in my Home Economics class! So you can imagine how scared and excited I felt as I bought yarn and hooks and all sorts of good things for use in crochet.

Over the Christmas and New Year hols I worked on my first crochet project, a scarf for my significant other. And after working on it in all sorts of places, from my bedroom to my computer desk at home to my office desk and all the way to my university grounds, here it is at last, one week later, DONE!

If you're interested in making the scarf for yourself or a friend, or would like to modify it for a son or daughter (of either the human or the doll type), please hop over to mai burogu for all the details.

Okay, I'm going to celebrate now, and then make plans for my next projects! :D :D :D
