Site Design Check-up
Edit: The layout is now online for you to see~ Click here
---
Been planning on changing my Anime-related websites layout for a while now, and started sketching earlier this week.
Though as I was photoshopping the site together yesterday, Asuka and Rika showed up wondering what I was doing with my life behind the laptop (once again).

They were studying it quite thoroughly, from top to bottom and everything.
Asuka noticed that she herself was in the banner!!
Rika let out an adorable "Nipa~" at Asuka's great discovery.

Sadly, she's still waiting for her Rebuild Evangelion 02, so this is all the happiness she has for the moment.
Rika also noticed she herself was in the banner,
but didn't let Asuka know, knowing her pride.
Either way, the design is "Figure Approved" and the site should be up today or tomorrow (So Asuka won't be blocking Banner-Rika in the first pic :p)
I'd also like to add that making photo's from the side of my laptop wasn't a great idea..

Just a thought of mine: When I was in the same situation to deside which design to choose I chose to use a "non anime design for an anime site"
http://figurefan.blogspot.com/
First everyone has anime backgrounds and imagery on their otaku site so I wanted to do something diffrent and second it just was to fit optically and with the theme so I chose the "hellish" theme to incorporate and use the "gate to" factor to tie it thematically.
Just a point that "anime site = anime skin" is not a given -_^ !!
Just finished and put it online! Also edited this post with a link so you can have a look.
Personally I think it fits the theme better from what I'm trying to portray.
From a "marketing-perspective", it also catches the attention of a visitor more than a bare layout.
I always have fun making these sort of layouts, which is of course a nice bonus.
Especially since I'm not limited to the restrictions of services like Wordpress or Blogspot, so I can go all out.
The code might be a huge mess, but it works XD
