Dollfie Lost Photos
2009 was the year that I adopted my two girls (or daughters) Rin and Yoko. I became fascinated with them after seeing Danny's lovely Saber. I had heard of ball-joint dolls before then, but never had much interest in them until I saw her lol ^^;;
Have to say that through them though I was able to meet and interact with other people that share an interest in them. They have also generate interest with people that have seen them.
Thought I would share a few Dollfie pics with everyone, some I never shared before while others are some of my favorite from this past year.
Lot more pics (including non dollfie ones) over on my website in my Looking Back 2009 post.
Both Rin and Yoko ended 2009 / started 2010 wearing these lovely kimonos I picked up earlier in the year. Forgive them if they are dressed improperly, its entirely my fault ^^;;

My first adoption was the lovely Rin Tohsaka. In case you didn't know, she is also from the Fate / franchise and is the master of Archer. In terms of my favorite Fate female characters, Rin would be second on my list. First is Saber (I'm a fanboy) and third is Rider. In fact, it was a picture of Rider that made me aware of the series.
You can read her introduction here.

Rin is a big fan of Saber too. Here she plays with the Saber Lily figma I got earlier in the year.
In terms of pairings in Fate / Stay Night, I think the Rin x Archer team was a good match. I liked their chemistry the best. And also while on the subject, have big expectations for the Unlimited Blade Works movie. Looking forward to seeing the Rin x Archer team in action again.

Rin also loves plushies! She found a Kiba plushie I had from when I bought Wolf's Rain many moons ago.

Rin was also the daughter I entered in Danny's Miss Dollfie Summer '09 contest. Had a lot of fun doing that, but also had to defend Rin for little kiddies trying to get their hands on her ^^;;;
Also probably showed off a little too much of Rin in some of those photos ^^;;;;;;;
This is the image I use for my avatar.

Now rewind a couple of days back. I knew Rin didn't have a swimsuit or underwear (expect for pantsu) for that portion of the contest. So I played around with the towel idea.
This was one of the initial photos I took before I was able to borrow the red backdrop I used for the contest.

Again, I had the idea that I wanted to use the pillows with Rin. So again these were pre-backdrop shots I took.

I took several shots of Rin in that flowerbed from different angles but didn't use but one of them. Was also probably the worst of them all because apparently her presence there was upsetting some local ants.
Rin doesn't like ants ^^;

About a month after Rin joined the family, I adopted Yoko.
Main reason was because I was interested in seeing her 'Dynamite' body ^^;;
Seriously though, curious about what made the DDdy body different from the normal body and at the time the only way to get DDdy body was through adopting special girls like Yoko.
This was probably the first and only time that she wore her default outfit. Can see more of her in this outfit in her intro.

Main reason for now keeping her in her default clothes was more because of the staining issue a lot of people seemed to have from her top and hot pants. So most of the time I kept her in white stuff, like this (tight?) shirt.
I couldn't let her go around like in the image behind her could I??

Symmetrical docking??

Yoko wore this white gown a lot, but something didn't seem right about it....

...Yoko thought it was not open enough I guess ^^;
One thing I recall seeing a bit was people referring to Yoko's eyes as 'steamed buns' because she lacked 'pupils'
But I liked Yoko's steamed buns =D
Honestly though, I think that decision was something Volks had to work out with Gainax. Just my opinion on the matter. Regardless, still adore her!!

Rin was in this outfit most of the year. I love her school uniform jacket because it has support wiring in the seams. So you can position the jacket in a state of action if you wanted too.

One of the Christmas photos I forgot to upload. Originally had the girls back to back.

Then I had them posing hand-in-hand. I also forgot to include this shot.
I submitted both of them to Volks along with some other photos, but they chose this one over the back to back. Guess they liked hand holding more.

The kimonos still in their packaging.

Rin is wearing the burgundy and black kimonos.

Yoko is wearing the black and silver kimonos. Probably could have used some ironing but I can tolerate creases over burnt clothing =P
I adore both of my lovely daughters. So many lovely girls released this last year that I wish I could have adopted a couple more. New year, never know what can happen ^^

Kimonos look good on them ^^
and Rin really matches with Black Rose in her red coat :D , can't forget it
lol, I do love the red coat ^^
Wow. She looks amazing. Definitely one of my favorite outfit and hair designs I've seen on a dollfie.
I really love Rin's wig too. But interested in seeing her in some different ones in the new year =D
both are very cute. ^^
Thank you ^o^
ganbade in 2010, I am looking foward to see more photo about yoko and rin :>
I wish you and your daughters new great new year. ^ ^
