Adam's Room
Room info!
Name: Adam / Shedranes(nick)
Age: 22
How many years you have been an otaku?: I've been an Otaku for about 3 years actively, although my friends got me into anime when I was about twelve. Didn't start collecting more seriously untill later, whatwith getting a job and all.
Nationality: Swedish
Outline of your collection: I'm going to go with round numbers here.
Manga is somewhere from 400 volumes and up.
Anime: around 250 DVD's and up.
Figures: 31
How much your collection cost: I Have absolutely no idea. If I were to make an approx I would say something like...
Manga: about 400 vols x 100 SEK = 40 000 SEK
DVD's: about 250 Anime DVD's x 150 SEK = 37 500
Figures: anywhere between 10 00 - 20 000 SEK really.
Posters etc: Maybe 1-2000 SEK
Total: Somewhere around 100 000 Swedish crowns, that's about 13 340 USD or
1,264,750 Yen. Keep in mind that all this has accumulated over quite a long time.
My favourite Item: That's a hard question, I like them all! But if I where to say i would say one of these three... probably: My little Horo figure from Spice and wolf, My handmade resin figure of Asuka (NGE) or my 1/4 Konata from lucky star!
Your website address: Afraid I haven't got one. :)
Anything else you want to say: It's very hard to take pictures in my room cause it's so frikkin dark! I've tried to install about 6 more spotlights into the room but it's still too dark. Because of that my camera always has to use flash to take pictures. That's why pictures come about as a bit overly lit many times.
Oh, I'm also not too fond of taking pictures of myself like this, but I hope it will suffice. :)
Different is good, Dust is evil and thats all!

This is what I see when I surf the web etc. usually throw up my feet, have my keyboard in my lap and just slouch back into my sofa. It's very comfy actually.

Left corner of my room, a bit boring currently sadly. Not much to do about it.

Other part of the left side of my room, some shelving containing mostly manga and some DVD's.

A class cabinet from IKEA. At first I had all my figures inside this but it got kind of boring so i let them out of it, most of them atleast. The little ones that remain are arranged around the PSP and DS inside there with them. Had a laugh setting them up, sadly I didn't have enough space for a close up.

Some stuff in the right corner as well. It's a work in progress :)

Overview of the left part of the room. Curses, it's so dark!

It's a me...! Not looking my best, just got home from a vacation in egypt and seems to have caught a nasty cold along the way, managed to sleep just a little before taking the picutre. So that's why I'm looking grouchy! :D Sorry about that!

One of my favourite Figures. It's so detailed and shiny! Asuka has her place on the headspace together with the NGE steel box.

Well impressive!
Thanks, It's a work in progress, but I feel like i'm slowly getting there. ^^
Great Room Man!!! Congratulations!!
Thanks! Glad you like it. :D It's so fun to share pictures like this! ^^
Looks really good!
Cool room, man.
Nice room, love all the wood paneling. Very neatly organized shelves too. ^^
Thanks! The neat organization is something i'm very happy with myself as well. Can't stand when it's all strewn about. :)
I like your Asuka, I'm trying to get her too ^^
^^. Good luck, hope you find one! I had the luck to run into this one at random, last one left in the store at the time!
Love the wood panelling too and the sofas! Really comfy
The wood panelling is annoying sometimes though, it's often in the way when putting up posters etc. Sofas are excellent! No way that i'm using anything but my LCD TV as monitor from now on ^^
Wow thats a very nice room! all wooden! impressive collection too!
Looks good ^^
Love the shelves. Matches well with the lighter colored walls ^^
Arch Enemy! We will rise...!! Rawkkk.
Quite a lot of people have the Ikea glass cabinet, very nice choice for display, i have two :P
And why is ur NDS in the glass cabinet? For display only instead of playing it on your palms?
Raaawrk!
Hehe, well i'm a scatterbrain so i need to have my stuff within sight. xD Really though, the cabinets looked kind of empty so i just put something there. Needs more figures! I pick the DS and PSP out and play a bit every now and then though.
Those Detolf cabinets are awesome! I need one more for symmetry! x)
Wow - it feels like the inside of a log cabin. :P Very interesting look over all was it like that when you moved in?
Like your area. That fire place must be nice during the winter.
