GSC Figma Hirasawa Yui & Ui
Yui is probably my third Fave K-ON! in the Hit anime series K-ON! as Ritsu is my first alongside Azusa . After looking at the latest Figma Post at the GSC site thanks to Twitter .
At first I thought Yui is only available in Mobip Ver . but GSC wouldn't let me down and made a Figma Yui not only that Theres Ui also . I think I'm gonna get Ui rather Yui , I don't know why but she seems more Moe to me .

I notice , that GSC Figmas are now come with blank faces and you have to put stickers on them which is quite unique . Still haven't buy any Figma Lucky Star Summer Uniform Ver . yet .

Right after this Mobip Hirasawa Yui Figure was announced I have said to myself this Obi- wan catchphrase which is " I have a Bad Feeling about this "
I know , I shouldn't judge a Figure just by seeing the picture , but I really do have a Bad feeling about this .
I'm not saying its a Bad Figures , I'm just saying it really makes me a bit suspicous because I haven't heard of this Mobip Company in my whole life . Maybe , I'm getting used to Figmas already ^^;;

First off, let me say thanks for using my pictures! (^.^) Also, why isn't there an option for both?
I am so torn on this situation... On one hand, I'm exceptionally excited for her as Yui is definitely one of my top favorite characters and my official current waifu.
On another hand, Mobip already has a stake in the K-On! Line and this response seems to be direct competition. With the sudden announcement and all. Usually, figures are announced months in advance and Yui is suddenly going to be on sale 2 weeks from now> (^.^;)

If I put "both' in the poll options then surely a lot of Members would vote for that . I would really want to know which figma is best since I heard a lot of Otakus from Twitter saying they would rather buy Ui then Yui . So The Poll is like answering my curiousty I guess ^^;;

You can find that in the Ichiban Kuji Premium figures. Those are pretty good.
They don't really impress me that much, to be honest. At least, from the pictures I've seen.

agreed. not that they looked that good in the first place. hope they won't do the super lame thing and make you buy all of them to complete Ritsu's drum kit.
I feel kind of sorry for the folks who bought the Mobip ones. I was pretty sure Max Factory would come out with a figma line especially with new K-ON figures being released. It was bound to happen.
Don't feel sorry for us, feel sorry for yourselves who have to pay thru the nose to get this exclusive figure. XD

I hope they don't take the lazy route and just do head swapping like the Lucky stars summer uniform version and just make a separate figure but if they do I guess it means I'm buying two UI's

Great news to hear just a few months to late since I bought the Mobip ones not saying they are bad because I do actually enjoy the looks of the Mobips and now I'll have to buy the Figma line and pose the two sets side by side. I wonder why they picked Ui as the other release and not Azusa oh well Ui looks like awesome nonetheless in her Figma form. Lets see if they follow the same road as Mobip and release Ritsu's drum set spread out through all of the k-on members.
Nice a lot more detailed than the Mobip guitar they actually have the fret marker Inlays on them and the cherry sunburst is a lot closer in color to the anime counterpart.
I am SO glad I cancelled my K-on mobip pre-orders last year.
Yui looks actually.. GOOD compared to the majority of all the K-On figs out there.
They really captured the K-On style.
Instead, I've canceled my Alter Yui and Mio... For some reason, completed PVCs aren't attractive as action figures and dolls now...
You probably won't be saying that when they come out. ;)

Actar go ahead and buy it from otacute.com they usually have exclusive figures there , they even had nendoroid reimu there for a great normal nendoroid price :D

I'm not. >D I told some of my friends that the K-On mobips weren't worth it, they didn't listen. Now, I get to laugh at them.
On the flip side, I'm now even more wary of getting the Strike Witches Yoshika mobip. The prototype pics of it really got me hoping, but the actual production version looks...well...typical mobip. -_- Since figma went ahead with K-On, I'm now wondering if I should sit back and wait for them to acquire the SW license.
Last note: Aoshima should stick to model cars. -_-

The quality is still good ,and I predict another wave of collecting figma will rise again as the characters is showing up at figma.

hmm i don't want say bad things about mobip k-on figure but the figma got a more detailed hair structure. well you could found Ui for more then 100 usd on ebay. Like the last time also at Wonder Festival 2009 for the limited Hatsune Miku figma ??
Hmm having committed to collecting the Nendo versions I think I'll just stick to all the Nanoha Figma's for now. These K-on ones look neat but are just no where near as dramatic and accessories packed as the Nanoha range and its the piled on accessories that hits the spot for action figures (for me anyway).
I definitely want Ui.... and Mugi will be a must-get, too. Not sure about others.

Just saw this on figma's blog then thought about updating it here, looks like I was too late.
On the figurine: it looks nice, in my opinion looks much better than the mobip version of Yui. My guess is Ritsu's going to go for 3800 yen if not more once she's out.
On the release date: Damn you Maxfactory, why can't you release Subaru or Miyo early instead?
