I finally have my 1/4 kosmos!
Hi everyone I finally have my Kos-mos 1/4 from Hobby fan! Although there were some problems! If you want the details, please go to my blog entry here
Unfortunately, this will have to be a partial review since the breastplate covering kos-mos was not included with the figure. I emailed hobbyfan about this and they quickly apologized for the mistake and they would send it straight away but it would take a week or 2 so. Not wanting to wait for so long! (staring at a kos-mos 1/4 with her boobs exposed is not a bad thing though but I want to be able to take photos of the figure without having to worry about censorship!). So I took the option of having them EMS the missing parts to me.
Here are some of the shots of the unpacking. Though I must admit, the level of workmanship is great! It literally blew me out of the water, especially the eyes (both on the face as well as on the chest! XD). I wanted to post the pics of her eyes but I don't see the "This article shows boobs" option anymore, what happened it it?
Unfortunately even after asking hobby fan add some extra padding the kit was still damaged. One of the armor pieces had broken off during transit. ¬_¬ I was not amused but not surprised either.
I could have.
1. Bi*ch about it on forums and crap.
2. Email hobby fan about this.
3. Fix it and get on with your life.
I choose option 3! With a little help from Super glue!
Next was the head but be careful here, the ends of the hair are really sharp!
Here is the tri gatling gun for the figure. A note to those who intend to buy this kid, you need to be very careful with mounting this weapon, if not done carefully and accurately, you could scratch the paint job on the hip as well as the weapons like I did (Though very minor and you can't see it from any angle unless you knew where to look).
I demand full detailed photoshoot!!! She is beautiful! I always loved KOS-MOS...ironically i barely played Xenosaga *Sigh*

Unlike Kairu up there (lol i'm just playin with ya Kairu.) I love KOS-MOS and have played all of Xenosaga. :D I also demand a full photoshoot. :D
I will once the last piece of armour arrive. We can't have kos-mos looking indecent now can we? ;D

Curious why you ordered this from Hobbyfan, which is in California, when E2046 had the same thing and they are in Hong Kong.
Hmm initially I was tempted to buy from E2046 but then I've had some really bad experience stuff from some China/Hong Kong base websites (except for Play-Asia) in which the customer support was next to crap.
Never had a single problem with E2046's customer support. They are always very prompt and polite and willing help out in any way.
thanks for the info. I might ordered from them the next time I'm looking for a figure. Though I just didn't want to take chances with kosmos here
Hobbyfan have better recast than E2046. I'm still waiting for my to come I have already sent my bank Draft to them last Friday(8/01/2010).
Having seen both versions (painted and the standard garage kit) from both Hobbyfan and E2046 I can pretty much guarantee that they come from the same factory.
they do. I was informed of this by them. The only diff appears to be the paint job request. Both side ordered that the paint job be perfect. Though the question of which is better is rather subjective.
