J-pop or K-pop ???
Is anybody following J-pop or K-pop ???
Been following K-pop for a few months now as my Mum and Sis is into Korean dramas. Wiki 1 Wiki 2
Don't see a lot of Japanese drama on the market here but I saw a lot of Korean dramas which is dub in Mandarin.
I must say, the Traditional Korean dramas are really addictive and so is the recent drama "IRIS" Wiki series.
Another drama that left a deep impression is "Lobbyist" Wiki. Sadly the female actress died of cancer. She's so young.
"The Star Golden Bell Challenge" Wiki, "1 day 2 nights or Happy Sunday" Wiki, "Invincible Youth" and "Music Bank" Wiki are some of the shows I always watch on cable.
OK, back to topic. Many of the K-pop girl groups are very young....many are caught in it, like me ^^;;
Their songs are very catchy and so is their Dance moves ^0^/
Both visual and music are good and in many cases, very sexy appeal ^^; Very colorful too ^^
I bet the girls must have gone through many hours of hell training.....looks real painful to dance in high heels....

Edit: Noted in the comments, there are too many K-pop girl groups to list out, I mostly start out with G7 aka Girl seven from Invincible Youth. ^^ I like both J-pop and K-pop, but K-pop recently is in the rage ^^;;

Hmmm... Well I listen to both. Sometimes I think music wise J-pop wins, but sometimes it can be really annoying. Music video wise, I think K-pop wins. The videos are usually really cool. This is all my opinion through.
Super Junior has to be the both the only K-Pop and boyband music I listen to willingly. They're dang good.
But It's still 37% J-pop, 60% doujin music/game soundtracks, and 3% K-Pop.

Don't really listen to much J-pop (and no K-pop) but I listen to heaps of music in other genres of Japanese music.

Music is a way of life regardless weather its K-pop or J-pop as long as it sounds good .
I for one am more into J-pop but I'm starting to like K-pop with Girl's Generation and Super Junior . Most of my friends are K-pop addicts , So I'm getting good songs from them .
Its like saying Rock is better than Jazz or American Music is better than British Music . Some guys like eating Steak and some like eating Sushi .
Now , I'm searching for good German , Mexican , Latin , Jamaican , French and English Malaysian Songs .
