Clearing the Smoke...
A week shy from reaching two full moons since AFA09, the winners of the Bandai World Gunpla Competition (Held in conjunction with Gundam 30th Anniversary, a collaboration between dannychoo.com, Bandai and AFA09...) were finally revealed personally by Trooper Danny... ^_^
Amongst the four different categories (Of which I entered two... :D), I nabbed myself a prize in the Muahaha category, in which us Gunotas (Gunpla Otaku) were required to create amusing Gunpla for people to laugh their ass off... ^^;
Congratulations to the other 3 winners of other categories!!! :Dc

A week later, which is today, my prize has finally reached the den!
Send directly from the organisers of AFA09 themselves, I am amazed at the almost damage-less condition I received the danbooru, as the Postal Dude usually messes up all my packages once too often... >,<

The prize is a single 1/100 MG RX-78-2 Gundam Version 2.0 Mechanical Smoked Clear Version, which is almost identical to the ProShop limited Mechanical Clear Version from a few months back, safe a few differently coloured runners...
The prize was first available for purchase during AFA09 two months back... Glad I didn't do an impulse Gunpla purchase back then... ^^;

Being a mechanical Smoked Clear Version, all outer armour parts are moulded smoky clear, with the internal frame in light greyish hue... A water transfer decal sheet is included to allow you to spice up the internal frame, which I think I'll pass for the time being...
Assembly will be very straight forward as panel linings are obviously not needed and my decision against applying water slide decals, saving a majority of my time... XD I still intend to apply the dry transfer decals as well as the clear stickers tho... :3c

Pretty much the same as the anime colour-correct version of RX-78-2 I have in my collection... XD
I intend to place this MG into one of the di:Stage display case as sort of a trophy... ^_^ Assembly will commence probably by tomorrow nite, which is the start of the weekend...
Unfortunately tho, I've since heard and read complains and dissatisfactions from some 負け犬達 over their lost... Altho I do agree with a majority of their arguments (You know who you are... :|c), know that this is a contest for FUN... Not a tournament or Gran Prix... Besides, it is the judges from AFA09 committee who agreed on the outcome not us... ^^;
Just like what Danny always said in all of his Giveaways: no matter how we change the rules to please a certain group of people, there will always be objections from some other hidden factions... You just cannot expect to satisfy all at the same time... ^^;

congrats for your winning yunamon. But the Muahaha category is already make me laugh.. Not to mention the participant :3
would you refresh my mind with a link from your creation?

There is hard to please everyone, let us give our respect for the organizer's hardwork.
I have a clear version of the RX-78-2 but in its original colour. So clear blue and red. Pain in the ass to build, lol. Congratz and good luck building it!
