Nanoha PSP Game Lyrical Box
I can't say how delighted I am to receive this. I don't ususally buy actual games, but in this case, no only is it based on my absolute favorite season of Nanoha (A's), it also comes with a limited edition Figma Nanoha! I pre-ordered this many moons ago and have it finally in my hands!

Oh, look at this gorgeous box!

Let's take a look see what's inside shall we?
The Lyrical Box comes with a ton of things... Let's see...

First of all, the game box itself, along with a magnificent art book

The Instruction Booklet is made up to look like the Tome of the Night Sky, nice touch.

The Art Book contains character bios, along with director comments and more.

Also, the set comes with:
A reverseable pouch, Fate's name is spelled wrong. (^.^;)

Sticker Sheet

Microfiber cloth, the cutest thing I've ever seen.

A NanoFei towel

Three Bath Posters, the kind you use water to stick to your bathroom wall.

Having no capability to unroll them to take a picture, the picture on the box will have to suffice at this point in time. Hm... I don't think I'll be using them just yet. The idea of Fate, Nanoha and Hayate staring at my naked body is slightly unnerving... (^.^;)

Last but not least, Figma Nanoha herself. She's definitely the main attraction, but I'll be reviewing her at a later date. (^.^)
As for the Game itself, I have only played through Nanoha's and Fate's campaign, but the story revolves the incidents after A's where left over bits from the Defense Program of the Book of Darkness together with memory fragments take the form of various characters, the kinghts, Fate, Nanoha, etc... Your character will have to battle them to 'let them rest'.
Not the most original of stories, but it's NANOHA, so it's instantly epic. The combat system itself is pretty unique and reminds me somewhat of the Touhou fighting games where if you distance yourself from the opponent enough, you'll enter the long range fighting mode and the controls change from melee attacks to ranged attacks.
Characters included are Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, Vita, Shamal, Zafira, Signum, Reinforce and Chrono. There are 3 unlockable evil versions of Nanoha, Fate and Hayate.
I thought the fighting system was pretty intuitive, but I guess it does take sometime to get used too. Graphics are slightly laggy, but I suppose it's because I'm using a first gen PSP... (^.^:)
If you are a fan of the Nanoha franchise, especially A's I highly recommend picking this set up. However, the price will be a deterrent as it's pretty expensive at an average of 13,000 yen.

Hmm I heard Namco Bandai actually adapted doujin game Magical Battle Arena and made this one based on MBA engine. Original MBA already have loli Nanoha and Fate, as well as character from other series like Slayers. 2 bosses in original MBA actually resembles Vita and Hayate ^^
Well, I absolutely adored MBA and their Lyrical Pack does allow you to play as Hayate, Vita and Adult Nanoha.
However, the PSP game has completely different gameplay. They look the same, but have a completely different feel.
Incredibly jealous, but I simply couldn't justify spending over £100 for a single Figma (which is how much it would've cost with shipping & customs) :(
You're paying alot for alot more than just the Figma, but of course all you seem to want is the Figma. :P
I wanted to order this but that price, that price. May be I'll pick up the figma by itself if it shows up for a reasonable price on auction sites.
Now I feel better about dropping so much money for the limited version set.
Mine has shipped but has not yet arrived. Thanks for the preview before it gets here. I love the microfiber cloth, bath posters (^^;), and am happy to hear there is an art book included.
so jealous! I wanted to take a PSP just for this!
Well,I will try to convince my friend that has one to get it XD
argh what a pity for "testErossa"...
the video gives me a rather bad impression of the game somehow, compared to the original doujin MBA. if it is like Fate/Stay Unlimited Codes, then it would probably be barely playable, but if not, the graphics looks unclean.
Well, the video does have horrible quality... Should find a better one.
If only they gave it another quality control check before giving the green light eh? lol
Mine is arriving in a few days, lets battle :D
I've just had to change my card details on amazon for the order to process. I should be getting this in a few weeks then> I can't wait to get it.
It's too bad I didn't want this figma, I would of actually kept the game >.<
mine is stuck in customs... I want to play....
(Didn't get this pack, since yea, I am not a figma person, and reselling it would be a major hassle)
I'm so getting this game! :Dc
It is nice that there is stuff like this in Japan, hard to get it in the U.S.
JELOUS....
13,000 yen? *checks wallet*
(:-x)
I bought the game (not lyrical box) and I'm disappointed with it.
The story isn't nice, no animations, the game is really easy and they should had put the opening and intro in the story mode too.
Well, but I'm a fan, so I'm still happy with the game, the full voice is the best part imo and there is some pretty cgs. Did you get the DLC card? I got, but didn't try it.
Hey there! Indeed, the game itself could use a couple of touch ups, though it's still enjoyable from a fan's viewpoint. Eternal Blaze is the BGM for the final fight, which was a nice touch.
Could you explain to me the DLC thing? I have absolutely no idea what it does.
Cute. :D
hey its this kinda like a gundam vs gundam game
nanoha sure looks like freedom gundam ^0^
Asking: How do you do the screenshots of the game? Do you put the disk in your computer or something? (I'm a noob when it comes to gaming >.<)
