After VN02, here comes "Meltdown" ^^
A scan featuring the upcoming 1/8 scale figure of "Meltdown" by Max Factory.
The character for Meltdown is Kagamine Rin ^^
Scheduled for July 2010 release with no price yet.
Via 2chan.

That's...RIN?
She looks *gasp* BADASS....
I think Rin finally hit that stage i puberty AKA Angst?
Love the details in this figure but I'm also shocked that she is Rin. She's hardly recognizable.
Wish her hair blended together like in the art work...
either its still in development, or bad image scan
this figure head seem to look very rough on that scan
Is that Rin? Kind of....not really her o_o'
*jaw drops*
>< and i was so happily thinking it was the Meltdown with the light blue cage like thingy instead of the hard rock remix version. slightly dissappointed
The sculpting on it is incredible. Not digging that particular remix though.
Agreed. Sculpt looks great but I much prefer the original mix of the song. She goes off pitch too much in this one =(.
it would look a lot better if they follow the hairstyle from the original picture
+1
Her hair looks really strange like this. The original artwork's hairstyle, even if very close to the one of the figure, is way better.
Beautiful! I'm so glad that a Vocaloid other than Miku is getting some attention. Rin, Len, and Luka are so often over-looked.
Woah... It looks rather ghastly to me. I'm used to moe Rin. XD
Wow. Now to try and guess-timate how much this thing is gonna cost. Do want indeed...
now we need some yowane or neru chan in here >.<, a "nanka yokuwakaranai mono" plush toy would be cool too, haha XD
The music has an interesting fusion to it, and it pushes the envelope.
Looks like the same can be said about the figure.^^
Not sure what to think of this. I do like the design but not too fond of how the hair looks and her expression seems a bit too frown-y when compared to the original artwork. I'll have to see more pictures to decide.
I think the hair could have been sculpted a little better/closer to the artwork, but on the whole it's a really gorgeous, unusual figure. I really like the way the vast amounts of fan and amateur material for Vocaloid is being made use of because the end result is far more interesting than a lot of other figures (endless swimsuits and school uniforms).
Very Very Shock!
Not very sure about this one, though it reminds me about ORKS from Warhammer 40000 settings...with all the woodern spikes and futuristic electronic guitar...
IMO, Rin's face and hair looks quite different from the illustration.
