I just finished this commission project recently.

It's a glossy paint job. It was more difficult that I anticipated, but I think it came out pretty nicely.

I use a decent amount of decals but I try not to overdo things.

I personally like this red scheme better.

Painting the back of the shield wasn't easy, but I got it done.

That looks really nice, although with word glossy all that came to mind was finger prints...

Lol. Yeah, I think of that too when it comes to phones and glass. But that's not what it's like. Not all glass holds the oil on the surface such as the finish of a car. And to avoid fingerprints on the paint job, just give it sufficient time for the paint to cure.

Great work. How long did it take and how much would you normally charge for a project like this?

This was my first commission which is out of the box plus custom color scheme. I charged 400-450 USD for this so far. Pricing increases as the build gets more complicated. But considering I have to buy the kit and time spent on it, it's not really that much.

Oh, this was a slow work due to school and other priorities. This took 5 months, but it can be done in just 1 month. Luckily, the client wanted me to take my time working on it.

    amazing color scheme!!!!
i would love to see the shield in blue ^^ but that's just me.
and i like how the glossy coat comes out, it makes them look more anime-like (everytime that they make a close up on a gundam they shine like hell.)
can you tell me how you did the panel lines?
i paint my models using a brush (:s but i'm planning on getting an airbrush) and games workshop paints, and i don't have gundam markers, so again a fine tip brush.
and after i finish applying the color, it's really hard to follow the panel lines (because they tend to be covered by paint) does this happens to you too?
