NG 1/100 Gundam Exia
This is my very first model kit in the 1/100 scale I got last year. It has some obvious nub marks as I built it with little experience on "nub hiding" skillz at that time. =P Of course, over time I decided to do a bit of fixing, adding some panel lines(first kit I panel lined and it came out rough) and paint some of the parts.
And yes, this is my first post and I finally decided to sign up today after lurking the shadows for a while since I saw this Gundam Giveaway contest going on. =)
Couldn't pass up the opportunity now can I? I would've known this earlier if my Internet connection hadn't been so wobbly over here and joined the fun earlier. XP
What did I actually do for this guy? Well...
-I simply snap fitted it last year but I didn't have a side cutter, so I had to use another sharp item. =P
-Then, early this year, I found out you can panel line with a CD marker, so I tried. Due to my marker's thickness, I only panel line the more obvious places and spots which the head can touch nicely.
-At some point, I had to use some superglue for the thigh ball connections(dunno how to call it) so that it don't come off suddenly when posing around. =/
-Earlier this month, I finally decided to add more color to the model such as the yellow sideburns and the green orbs and sensors. I only used Gundam Markers for painting.
Why is this my favorite?
I totally love the Exia especially due to its armaments which are mainly swords which I like very much. Melee combatants are so much more awesome. I also spent quite a bit of time with this guy, trying to make it look better over time and just plain posing it around, it simply is a kit I don't want to ever let go(in a sense).
