The concept here is that this girl has a bolt-action sewing needle that allows her to transform into a new costume by loading a thread bobbin in and firing it. She has to make the costume herself before it can be loaded into a thread bobbin - they're not magically made better, it's the same costume she made, so if she's sloppy, the outfit's sloppy and its power is weak.

The transformation needle follows her into the costume - a wand for a magical girl, a syringe for a nurse, a baseball bat for an athlete, a telephone-tray for a maid - etcetera. It was originally used by her father when he was a Cold War spy.

She uses her powers to do amateur sleuthing - Nancy Drew level stuff. She's a pretty geeky seamstress kinda girl, but becomes emboldened in her costumes and really gets into the act. The costumes also become realer-than-life - a mecha girl costume might really have laser cannons, or a ninja costume might really make her super-fast and stealthy.

OBVIOUSLY there's an evil seamstress out to get the Needle for herself so she can become a master criminal. Anyway, I have some more detail drawings coming along and I'll settle on a name for her at that point - any suggestions?
