Isn't it simpler to download the movie from Youtube? There are some add-ons on Firefox that'll let you do that.

what was all the rage about? Like it wasn't showed enough?
They misreported it. they say that the stop motion frames was a making of when clearly the original video was made from flash and the stop motion flick was a fan made iteration using augmented reality. That and their comments about the MV just made no sense or relation what soever. They could've done some research about it at least.
basically nerd rage regarding CNN people to get some foreign MV interpreted correctly... Great...
ah, so it is augmented reality! I thought it looked suspicious!
And the original was made from flash? It looks like they used 3d models, and rendered them into black and white. They probably used something like Illustrator to convert it into full vector and ported into flash, or something along those lines.

I saw this video and liked it so much (Love all the touhou characters! especially from scarlet weather rhapsody game XD).After a bit of thinking, I get it! the animation is clearly a 3D and 2D computer-made animation (shown mostly on the hair dynamics) it's not pencil drawn.
"Bad Apple - stop motion PV" is a collection of 6500(or more) printed papers from the original animation "【Touhou】Bad Apple!! ＰＶ【Stylized Shadow Art】" (still a hell lot of it though).
So 'I'n 'M'y 'O'pinion,, the stop animation PV is another kind of creative idea, not "behind the scene" or "The Making".
And what CNN says that "This is how they made it" by showing the stop animation PV,, I say "That's just wrong".
Anyways.. it's always fun to have these kind of issues since they made "The Heat" longer^^~
