They really aren't what I was expecting at all... Hmmm. Granted, I haven't seen the series, so maybe they're spot on?
Either way, I hope that the White Album fans were well catered to with these girls. ^o^
I'm just glad to see Rina doesn't have Erika's wig, like on the Osaka Teaser I posted earlier. ^^;
Wish she had blue eyes like in the anime though...

I am expecting the final package to look more refined than these preview pics. I think they have posted similar pics like this for Yoko and the final design is quite a bit more refined than the early prototypes
You don't seem too happy with the prototypes Wolfheinrich. I feel the same. Yuki's face looks too mature and does not resemble the anime face. Rina looks better but the V smile is not quite accurate. And she needs blue eyes, for US$650 it better does. Moe and Natsuki's faces shown earlier with the outfits looked better than this new protoypes, they had the anime looking face.
I just finished watching White Album and I liked it, first time I watch an anime soap opera. Rina rules.
Hope to see a better sculpt of Rina on the next update. As you said, it needs to be more refined.
I don't think we have too much to worry about, these are early prototypes that's only meant to give us an idea what they might look like. I am preferring Rina based on these pics. The original character design for Rina has brown eyes, the anime gave her blue so I think Volks is going with the original design. Then if you really want blue eyes, the flexibility of Dollfie Dream allows you to swap the brown eyes out for a blue pair at relatively low cost.
Yes, Rina rules in White Album, not the helpless princess looking moe archetype; but an actual intelligent, delightful and elegant bishoujo.
Volks animetic eyes are only around 1000 yen or 12$ if I remember correctly. I have a drawer full with every colors lol.
Only thing I noticed different about Yoko compared to her preview pics was the wig. The wig that shipped showed off more forehead than people thought based on the preview pics, not to mention the quality of some of the wigs was bad.
As far as the doll itself goes, pretty sure the final product will be same as these photos. The clothes may be refined a bit. The wigs will be anyone's guess.
So, you think there won't be any drastic change on the faces prototypes. If the final product will be as it is right now, then I will have to cancel Rina. The smile is not that bad, it is the separation of the eyes from the lips that looks bad. That is why both dolls look too mature looking and not young as they should. I was really hoping to be as fresh and beautiful as Moe and Natsuki, but instead we get a different approach. I am very disappointed coz I want a really good looking dollfie and now Moe, Natsuki and Rin are way over my budget.
All I can say is that you have to decide whether or not she meets your criteria / standards. I was only stating my opinion based on the original comment regarding Yoko.

Both girls looks great. If I was going for a White Album girl I would get Yuki though. But I do like Rina's stage outfit more than Yuki ^^;
Oooo, Yuki face is quite well done, look alot like her anime counterpart ^^. Rina..........hmmm......the exaggeration of the smile is a turn off for me =((
Funny, I think Rina looks closer to her character than Yuki.
But I do like Yuki's face, it has a sweet expression which I love.
Rina's point of interest for me is her smile, it's really growing on me!

hmmm not what i expected ... yuki face looks alot more mature then i had hoped for and rina face has an odd smile ... not sure what to make of this yet ..maybe wait a bit more too see more photos ... but might have to cancel some of my preorders, i might pick up nia instead.
they both look cute. but the "V" smile looks a bit silly to me
If the final Yuki is better, I might have to save up for her, I already like her *.*
(but right now I don't really like her mouth, and I thought she would be more cutsie :/ )
