MG GN-X Review
All, after a long week I've finally finished building my GN-X.
You can read my full review here, http://otakurevolution.com/content/mg-gn-x-review but I'll post most of the pics and highlights here.
Hopefully I'll get my shipment of primer soon so I can start painting this guy. Probably won't get it this weekend thanks to another winter storm. No worries though, I have about five other unfinished projects I can work on in the meantime lol

The GN-X and MG Exia share a few runners.

This is what happens if you don't use an action base.

Much better articulation than I was expecting.

I love the Tau Drive. If only they'd gone all in like they did with the Ignition Mode Exia.

The big rifle is an unexpected favorite.

Worst part of the kit are the small feet which don't do a good job supporting the high center of gravity
The connection points for the fins aren't too strong, so they flop around and pop off easily.
Unfortunately Bandai is still using the action base clip. :(
Nice photos. If you ask me, I would prefer GN-X design rather than the gundams. It is out of the box and looks cool in someways. I saw it somewhere that ppl are having group build in GN-X.
the rifle is really the biggest assets there..
Who cares if the GN-X can't stand? I don't recall it ever being on the ground during the series unless it's docked/being docked. The feet are just to cover up the thrusters better.
Oh, just wondering, would it be possible to separate the fingers? They look pretty molded in from the photos.
GN-X: Hey buddy~
Exia: What the...
and seriously, I would have prefered a better MG that the Gunpla team would have made...
wow, those feet are small... I wonder if that's actually accurate... Then again, this unit can hover, so not much of a big deal
Of all the mobile suits to build the second 00 series MG on... I will never understand.
the GN-X and Exia have the most color and design variants from the 00 line.
its bandai's style to pick out designs that they can easily milk variations from for ease and to save money. just look at the MG Zaku II 2.0 and Strike series.
dont forget the rx-78 series and the impulse xD
MG GN-X was a fairly suprising move for me. Surely there are more popular designs to use... but I'm not complaining. :D
Being the 1st non-Gundam MS outside of UC to be made in MG format, I have to say I'm quite impressed. But really, Bandai just gonna have fun milk variant from this design. Hopefully Bandai will give an opportunity for other non-Gundam MS that are not from UC like Tallgeese (Wing/AC), Turn-X and Sumo (Turn-A/CC) or MS Gundam that never have such privilege like Epyon (Wing/AC) , X and Double X (X/AW).
