Actar's Reviews 138: Figma Yui Hirasawa

Who would have guessed that Figma would enter into the K-On! franchise as well? I for one didn't. (^.^)

Coming completely out of left field, Figma Yui Hirasawa is set to dominate the figure scene along with her fellow Figmatized band members, soon to be released.

With quality figures such as these based on characters from a mindbogglingly popular Anime, it is no wonder that they are nearly impossible to secure at any online store

    I hope I can get one from the second shipment of these, this one looks well made and I don't even like K-On! as much as most people do. Still great figmas are hard to resist.

    great review! Your review's made me even more excited to get mine, (and the rest of the band) I can't wait xD
    I think the water decals do look like they'll be better, the only thing I don't like though, is that I'm having a really hard time deciding which expression I would want to put on to the blank face ;0;

    Use tweezers and cotton buds when applying the decals... It's easier to handle... ^_^

    It was more like "when" will Figma make K-ON figures than "if." I kinda feel bad for Mobip because Figma kind of kicked them to the side. I kind of want to see another posable figure line give Figma some competition, as much as I love Figma. To my knowledge there are Mobip, Figuarts, and Figutto trying to get a piece of the anime action figure market.

      Don't feel too bad for Mobip. If they had done a decent job with their figures in the first place, people wouldn't be flocking to the Figmas. It'd be great to see some strong competition, but I think the direct comparison now possible between the Yui Figma and Mobip makes it clear that Mobip is not putting up a real fight.
