I don't think any local dishes here serve octopus, it's quite hard to see it around unless you go to some seafood restaurant ^^;

But when I was young, I had eaten octopus in Santa Monica. You try it.
We do in Malaysia, but I personally not very very fond of squids do to a 'traumatic' past.
when I was little, me and my family went out to a seafood restaurant. When we're about to eat, I eagerly pick this odd looking gourmet which I later find out it's called squid. Just when I'm about to slice it, a purplish-black goo ooze out of it. Next thing I knew, I lost my appetite.
From that day, I rarely ate squid, unless my mum cooks it.
What a tragedy! Σ(゜o゜)

Here in the states, octopus isn't normally consumed. You can most often find an octopus dish in Asian restaurants though. I eat octopus once in a while, it's pretty good!
