Age - 19
How many years you have been an otaku - Since Pokemon hit the UK when I was 9/10, so... 9 or 10 years lol. But been a more devoted otaku for 2/3 years or so, collecting figures, playing visual novels, trying to get a few dakimakura cases and watching much more anime. But had been watching alot of anime and reading alot of manga since 2001/2. Moomins was the first anime I ever saw, when I was 5 or 6. Then a few years later came Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, Cardcaptor Sakura, Flint the Time Detective, Yugioh and Hamtaro of course, tho that never got to terrestrial tv, only saw it round my Grandma's.
Nationality - British!! I live in Norfolk(the bumpy-bulge on the right side of England lol), tis the back end of beyond... hardly any anime fans of any kind. It sucks!
Outline of your collection - I have over 130 figures; 45 scaled 9 posable, 4 Nendoroids and loads of mini ones, lots of anime dvd's, over 200 volumes of manga, a plushie or two, some Visual Novels, art books, fan books, soundtrack CD's, Gunpla, games, a dakimakura, only one cover so far, of Feena.
How much your collection cost - Over £6000, so over 915706 yen. Thats not including all the games and other dvd's I buy lol.
Your fave item - My Kotobukiya Chie Yoshioka figure!! She's utterly gorgeous!! No figure will ever take its place, unless they release another, equally gorgeous figure of her lol.

Anything else you want to say - I LOVE Japan and I LOVE the otaku culture. I love it all! And I blame Genshiken and Danny Choo for getting me to be more otaku than I was before. But I can't help but love it!! And yes, I am a girl lol.
(I wrote a bit much lol.... specially in the collection outline and the 'how long have I been an otaku bit lol)

My desk, devoid of the laptop at the moment, its living on my wheely chair, since when I'm on my laptop I'm either on my bed or downstairs lol. Right now its covered in books, dvd's my dvd player, my external HD... figures... no room for it elsewhere lol.

The shelves full of manga, and some DVD's. Sadly the manga overflowed months ago, there is some under my bed, in the barn...
My pride and joy, my Corner of Tennant. (David Tennant that is, the 10th Doctor, Casanova, D.I Carlisle, Rev Gibson, Barty Crouch Jr, Hamlet, lotsa characters. But so far, the Doctor will be his most recognisable to most people.) Theres also a slowly growing door of Tennant too, need more clippings though hehe.
I am in desperate need of more shelves... Some round the picture rail maybe.... just for smaller figures, light things. Books would collapse lol.
My space invader duvet set is packed up with the rest of my Uni stuff. 101 Dalmations at the mo. It was Pocahontas before that lol. And Pokemon before that. I own only one unchildish duvet cover set lol. Who wants to be adult anyways? Much prefer to be juvenile any day of the week hehe.
Some of the boxes in the barn... there are more in the other outhouse too. All safe and wrapped up.
Some more, mostly empty. Need to get rid of the plastic part of the boxes I know I'm never selling, would have to think of alternative travel plans for them though...

Hmmmm.... not keen of having such a young Doctor frankly... 26.... 26!! Should be at least 30 imo. Have you seen the new photos of them on set? His outfit... taking geek-chic a tad far... I hate bow ties aswell... apparantly he's a very good actor, I've only seen him in Ruby in the Smoke though, and the other Phillip Pullman TV adaption. And he was doing an annoying cockney accent in them... I have yet to make a proper decision yet... shall have to trust Steven Moffats instinct... I hope he's got it right, all his eps were good, part from the one with Madam de Pompaduer.. which betrayed the Doc's character...and Rose...
Yeah, the young thing is defs a sticking point. Saw the one set shots too. Now, I'm all for geek-chic/twee fashion/vintage/retro (hell, many of my favorite pieces are hand-me-downs) but the style they've gone with... I dunno, doesn't feel "Doctor" enough... a little too fussy perhaps? Some of the publicity shots look ok though. Then again: the sports jacket and jeans look is pretty hard to do badly.
Then again, I also wonder if I'm only being negative because I was a huge fan of Tennant's Doctor.

I don't keep em dust free.... its impossible in my room. I just try and keep em as dust free as possible, dusting regularly.

Shirley's hips are...just...lovely. Tis why I liked her figure better than Kallen's, not that she isn't lovely and shapely aswell. Prefer Shirley's character too.
