MG Nu Gundam v.Purple

Posted by Falldog [www]

Here are a few shots of my MG Nu Gundam. For the most part I like how it turned out. I used Tamiya flat for the first time (usually use Testors) and I don't like how it turned out. It looks like it's covered in dust. I'm thinking I just applied too much.

If interested you can find a short review of my work on my site, http://otakurevolution.com/content/mg-nu-gundam-finished

purple color scheme looks pretty good, black wire would have been better though

I didn't want to paint the wire because bending it around would've caused the paint to chip and distort.

Thanks! I think frosting looks way better than straight clear.

I just frosted the clear parts by applying some dull coat.

I think I like the flat/satin tone of your paint job better than the gloss, it gives it a more subdued appearance. Also, the use of clear parts in a few areas hilight the structure underneath. All in all, good choice of colors, well balanced. Very Nice!..

Never thought of it that way. But I can most assuredly inform you I am not!
