I Am Legend Singapore

Chinese New Year holidays in Singapore is when I feel like I am Will Smith in the movie I Am Legend. The only human living in a deserted ghost town. During this period, 3/4 of the country is shut down and people disappearing to nowhere. Majority of retail outlets will be closed. The ones that are open are 24-hours convenience stores like 7-Eleven, fast food restaurants and petrol stations. Where everyone go?
Even the open till 12 midnight daily clinic is closed.

Kindda creepy, ghost town ^^;
Even though I'm born in sg and has lived here for the past 15 years.. i still get a little freaked out when i see so little/none shops opened every CNY.. makes me feel like i'm in a movie where a stalker is ready to kill me
Was pretty much the same around some parts of HK over Sunday.
i find it kind of fun or even refreshing to see something u dont see everyday
That's pretty cool imo. Peace and quiet and the freedom to roam around town without bumping into people for a whole day must be nice. :)

they are trying to escape from a deadly zombie virus. they might spread it to Malaysia! (28 weeks later movie)
and some are paying SGD$100 to hide themselves on another island (casino)
Actually,most people were out shopping for some strange reason,cos' i just went out yesterday and the malls were packed! Mission solved
Felt like I was apart of Zombieland or something. Not a single car or person for 15 mins when I came back from Malaysia today. Scared me silly.

most definitely. but this year one prominent local anime figures and toy shop is open throughout the holidays.

same thing happens to my small town. since 100% of the shops are owned by the chinese, everytime CNY comes, my place turns into a ghost town.
