Issues with Figma Ein/Figma Canaan
Was originally planning to do a small review on Ein, but I ended up waiting for my Canaan figma to be delivered before I reviewed them full force. I will have to say that, for the first time in my life, I'm horribly disappointed in GSC/Max Factory. Ein and Canaan are my latest two figmas, and they just don't deserve the Figma brand name, IMHO.

To begin with, I'm not really liking the look of the bare shoulders--with other figures they look OK, but with Ein and Canaan, their 'arms' look too much like sleeves as opposed to bare arms. It doesn't really look right, but that's actually the most minor (and ultimately trivial) complaint I have with these figs.

Figma Ein is not that bad, but I have some complaints. Her knees seem a bit knobby--strange, because my Figma Fate and Figma Saber(Casual) don't have that issue. Why do they have to be knobby? It makes Ein's legs look like a kigurumi costume rather than bare legs.

I don't understand why Canaan's neck has to be bent at such an angle. True, both Lelouch and Shirou have bent necks as well, but most of the female figmas don't have that "hunched-over" look. Even Ein doesn't have this problem, but Canaan's neck makes some of her poses look slouched and off-center.

Here's where the problems REALLY start. I don't liek the pegs. They're easier to interchange, but easier to lose. Ein's had this problem (hands falling off) since I took her out of the box. I gave up on trying to have her hold the knife (and the gun) in her left hand since it fell out more often.
I haven't tried swapping Canaan's hands yet, but I think a similar problem will occur.

This is my biggest headache. I'd only had Canaan out of box 3 minutes and the left leg fell out. Nothing broken, but the left leg is just so loose--about as bad as the hands on Ein. This was utterly and absolutely frustrating--the only other Figma I own that had his leg fall off was Lelouch, and I've had him for years (the leg only fell out once, last week).
---Not happy!

You might have trouble seeing it in this shot, but Canaan's hair actually has bits of paint peeled off. This was straight out fo the box, again.
The figures themselves aren't total losses, but I can't recommend them to anyone, not even a Canaan fan. Ein is a little bit better, but both of them just don't compare to my Saber(Casual) figure in terms of quality, paintjob, durability, etc. The quality on Canaan and Ein are things I expect of a lesser figure, not figma.
I'll say it aloud: Canaan and Ein are NOT the worst action figures I own. BUT--they are the absolute worst FIGMA I've owned.
Max Factory, P-P-PLEASE make sure that Rider, Subaru, and every other upcoming Figma you have out this year (ESPECIALLY the Kamen Rider ones) have a good hold on quality control.
Because as it is, if I were a far lesser man, I would have tossed Canaan out two minutes ago.

"Omae, boku no tsuwaratemiru ka?"

"I'll take that as a no."

Hm, I see your issue with the bent neck, especially in the first image. It makes Canaan's head look really off and out of proportion.
Rushing out too many figures to milk the consumers dry and they forgot about quality control.
This is why I've stopped buying Figmas for a while now (my last Figma was probably 3 months or 4 months ago)... I think GSC had been missing on quality control. Figmas nowadays (the new titles) have "ok" face paint, in contrast to the "perfect" face paint they had in the previous Figma releases...
I hope they make Rider perfectly. =____=
Me too. Same goes for the figma Archer they're working on.
Hell, I hope they take the time out to make the KAMEN RIDER DRAGON KNIGHT figures perfectly, or else they'll be an utter laughingstock WRT 14cm figures.
I noticed the neck issue as well with my Canaan but it does not bother me that much, cosidering she is more of an action character rather than a generic girl character, but fortunately her paint job and joints are good. I have no complaints with Ein though, her knees look fine to me, I'm contemplating on getting a 2nd one for modding purposes. (I like her bare legs!)
Yes, I was a bit disappointed with Canaan as well.
Her hair has paint splatters all over the place, the sugar stick had peelings and her left holding hand (For swords/leeks/etc) wasn't even with the red cloth color!
Ein's being shipped to me now from HLJ with the santa set. Hope she's a bit better.
If you ask me,Figma's been going a bit down hill when they made the vocaloids. Those were... not the best.
Trust me when I say that the Vocaloids were overall quality-wise better than Canaan. No contest.
I haven't had any problems with Canaan's legs or hands, but the neck I definitely don't like and the paint job isn't great. It's annoying because they can manage to pull off great quality for certain figures - Figma Reimu is perfect - but then others are a let-down. I feel like they're putting more effort into characters with a larger otaku fan following, and then neglecting the others.
