And here's a long-winded description of myself and my room.
I like books. I love books. I think I've crossed into the realm of the bibliophile YEARS ago. At one point I've had the option to loan 4 books at any given time from the library, but then I've realized the library doesn't get new books that interest me rapidly enough, and I began buying my own books...
I am also an RPG player (and dabble in Indie Design), so I have on my shelves and table over 260 RPG books, and about 50 more in boxes. I have too many unpainted miniatures, mostly Hordes (Skorne and Legion of Everblight). I've been reading comics since the fourth grade, watching anime and reading manga since 1998-99 or so, I guess.
My room kinda looks like a storage facility, but that's exactly the point. I now have most shelves with 2 columns of 3 rows of books each, and I've recently added three more storage boxes to put books/comics/RPGs in, because I was running out of space. As such, you don't really get to see most of my comics/manga, because they're in boxes, or that I've invaded other rooms for their shelves :)
Same with the consoles, they're in the room with the TV. I do keep my GB, GB Colour and GBA-SP in the table drawer.
Errr, yeah, Trading Card Games. I have played over the years about 5-7 TCGs, including several competitively, and as such, I have the cards to go along with it, all over the place, thousands of cards. ^_^
Last, I also have a cat living in my room at nights, and he sometimes allows me to sleep in the same room as he, which can get in the way of keeping figures within his clawed reach.

This is my bookshelf, nearly all of it.
Pile at bottom is the RAM - stuff needed for school and stuff I will get to soon or finished with recently. It only grows, mind.

This picture is a good summary of my room. RPG books, with video games on top, board games, more RPGs, and random cute figures.

This is me, unsurprisingly!

This is the "Wall" at the edge of my desk. Comic trade paperbacks, some RPGs, books, Fullmetal Alchemist manga, and two Nendoroids :)

The higher shelf has bigger books, and many odds and ends, figures, pins, artbooks...
The bottom shelf is how most of my normal-sized book-shelves are organized. Two rows, three columns per row. And music.

Comic-boxes, six of them. On top you can see boxes which hold TCGs, some miniatures, and Nendoroid Yoko's box to the right.

Box is filled with manga, more manga on top (I have more manga in my clothes-closet and downstairs...)

Comics, trade-paperbacks! Mostly Vertigo, but you can spot some other stuff there as well. And Akira/Ghost in the Shell if your eyesight is keen.
Of course, due to constraints of room, there are more RPGs on top of the comics, and miniature glue in front of them.
Sorry about the dust...

Yeah, that's a lot of unpainted metal. I'll get to it, someday, I promise?

Boxes, lots of boxes.
Yellow box has many TPBs and magazines under the fabrics, on which the cat rests.
Boxes filled with magazines, books, figures from my childhood... you can see Thor and The Darkness on top.
I clean the cat's litter-box every day. Picture on the wall is of my late cat.

Omaigod. Yer rooms pretty messy. Where's the pc???
The PC is on the floor next to the table, between the table and the bookshelf actually.
The nendoroids are standing on my mouse-pad, you can see the screen behind me in my picture. The computer is nearby, hidden by the edge of the table in the first picture.
And no, my room is not messy, it's /packed/ :D I know where everything is; it might take me 10 minutes to excavate it, that is true :)
It was a Cthulhu plush in your first photo? I love it!! I've got one like it im my car! XDD
Yup! And behind him is Skull the troll, from the PVP comic.
I'd keep them on my bed/table/night-stand drawer, but the cat would maul them. Well, this cat probably not, the former cat would've.
Whoah! Lots of books! At least they're in shelves unlike mine XD
It was slightly worse before I got the three boxes next to the comic-box tower. I had about 40 books in their original plastic bags on the floor.
Man, you just reminded me of Yomiko Readman, specially with calling yourself a bibliophile.
I still need to watch the RoD series. The OVA was probably my most beloved Steampunk, in any medium.
I've had <a href=http://www.amazon.com/Gentle-Madness-Bibliophiles-Bibliomanes-Eternal/dp/0805061762/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1248988081&sr=8-1>this book</a> on my wish list for years. About bibliophiles.
You know when I truly realized I've become a bibliophile? Those White Wolf World of Darkness hardcovers, they make this awful creaking sound when you open them more than 100 degrees or so, and they tend to lose hold of the spine. So I would sit with them open 90-100 degrees on my lap, bent over them. As anyone who'd played a gameboy game for 10 hours straight could tell you, that way lays headache.
When I was younger I'd sometimes correct typos in books with a pen, or when I used my thumb to straighten errant spines so they won't close... how we change with time :)
I suspect people would be more interested in my manga shelf of three years ago, when you can see the manga books, like here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tundranocaps/3773372222/sizes/o/ (BTW, how does one use html/bbcode here, or one simply doesn't?)
But we make sacrifices on the altar of space.
One simply doesn't. :P Comment links are done exactly as you just did. Links in the post work the same way, though it should be possible to hide the URL behind text. Haven't posted on figure.fm yet though, just DannyChoo, so I can't give you an exact answer.
Also, that link is dead. ^^;
I know, try this: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2584/3772728621_952762e4ba_o.jpg
:) A shame you can't edit comments, or delete them.
Good to see more traditional gamers around here
The war-game or the table-top RPGs?
I have a considerable "Indie RPGs" collection.
This reminds me of my old room. It was waaaay too much stuff in there, and everybody said "you need to tidy up", but there was no room to tidy things up! You have some pretty cool books there too. I like your room!
Thanks! :)
I have a lot of cool things. And yeah, I plan to tidy up this month, and it's a bit of a problem, as you need to take down about 6-8 boxes' worth of stuff, and you can't go back into the room/stop till it's all done. You can't shift one thing around, you need to shift it all.
Nice collection! You weren't kidding when you said you had a lot of books! ^^
Some would say I need /less/ books, to them I'd answer I need more /room/ :D
Lolols XD I believe that most people on DC can agree with that ^_~
