Sanding DD face

I want to know that Is sanding DD's Face going to make her face shiny?

because I saw a scratch on My Mashiro's nose [just got for 2 days OTL||| ]

and I don't want to bother Volks so I want to solve the ploblem myself

or If sanding makes the face shiny I would send it to Volks for claiming a new head

I was scared of being the same as hololo-san 's case [that volks says they did't see any scratch]

Thankyou you guys very much ><

any other victim from volks ... I see the pic, I think rubber can help ( I use this to save my sasara ). Rubber will not make the surface shiny ( remember use white color rubber, for pencil use). Of course apply it in gentle !

Sorry to barge in on this old post, but my Dollfie Dream fell and got a scratch on her cheek ; ; Did you say rubber would help? What kind of rubber? Like from a pencil eraser?

Alright, I tried using my white eraser but haven't noticed any changes...
I'm worried I'll take off the matte looking finish more than it already is. orz

I'm being gentle with it, but that's how I should do it, right?

Experimentation? Or contact volks? Weigh it out, and pick the one with the least disadvantages. Honestly, I'd just leave it alone if i were you. :3

I don't own a DD so I don't know how safe it would be to sand, but couldn't you try sanding her head cap, either on the inside or out. You'd never see it if she was wearing a wig if it turns out it's not safe to sand her.

I don't know either about sanding, but man does that suck. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I hope you find a solution.

You could try emailing Volks and asking what they would suggest?

One day I noticed a very tiny black hole right in the middle of my DD Yumi's nose (something black must have poked her when she fell...). Long story short I had to sand down her nose about 2mm to get rid of that nasty little black hole.

If you finish sanding the DD face with very very fine grit sandpaper, then you can't tell with the naked eye that it's been sanded. Here's my DD Yumi after her emergency nose job : http://www.flickr.com/photos/dollfiedreams/3384398566/in/set-72157604576017858/

If you zoom in 300% you might notice some slight irregularities in her nose tip shape, but in person you really wouldn't be able to tell. ^^

If you do try to sand her nose, get the finest sandpaper grits you can find and work slowly and take pauses to look from all angles to make sure you are doing an even job.
