Bandai Eva Petits

Posted by turtlesan [www]

Just opened the boxes for this set of petits today.

Pretty dissatisfied with the quality...

I've written a review on it in my blog~
Do take a look~

They are cute and all, but I've also noticed that the quality is as high either, but that's why you can get them pretty cheaply as compared to a more high grade gashapon.

The price I paid for is similar to a Nendoroid Petit and comparing to that, Bandai's quality is really down the drain.

Would appreciate if they QC properly...

I'm trying to stay away from Bandai gashapon, they look nice on sample photos but when you get them some pieces that are thinner like weapons are all bent out of shape, and the paint job is usually ok but never amazing.

Now wouldn't it be nice if there're Eva nendoroids. Too bad that probably will never happen. But at least then we all know the quality will be good.

I wish so too. But hey there's Evangelion Figmas coming soon right?

Who knows maybe Nendo will come?!

My opinion on Bandai's stuff is exact opposite... I think they look awful in photos, but great in real life. XD

90% of trading figures have crap quality. I never have high expectations when I buy them.

All of the trading figures I have (admittedly, not a huge amount) are really nice quality. Bandai's own Evangelion portrait series is quite good, judging by the ones I have.

I have a lot of trading figures and almost all of them are really nice quality for the price you pay.

'Crap quality' probably wasn't what I wanted to say. But they're rarely perfect.
I also have a lot of trading figures. Yes, they're acceptable for what you pay for them. I have one of the Mari trading figures shown above (the one in the background in the last pic) and for a trading figure, it's acceptable. If I were to compare it to a figure, of course the quality is crap, comparatively speaking :P
It makes me wonder if some people expect high amounts of detail and accuracy when buying these.

The quality may be a bit off, but they are quite adorable, I love their faces!

I have that same Rei but a different version of Asuka, the original plugsuit one. I know what you mean, I was disappointed with them as well, the quality is not really good, Rei's eyes look good, but Asuka's look almost blood shot, and there is so many blotches of paint that sticks out...
