MG Exia Action!

When I first saw the announcement for MG Exia, I didn't think much of it. But after seeing all the gimmicks and effects they had, I was on the line between buying, and not buying.

After seeing the reviews by Gunpla Secret Base, I finally decided to buy it, on the day that it was released, July 23rd. Ignition mode of course. I was lucky to decide quickly on the 23rd, because a while later, Ignition mode sold out.

Gn Sword Rifle mode.

In case any of you were wondering, The display base I painted months ago, when I was thinking of buying 1/100 Seravee. I decided not to buy Seravee, but kept the base. the Base was painted with Yellow, blue nad silver Gundam Marker and Transparent blue paint. I finally took the stand out of the box when I finished MG Exia.

Dual wield!

Beam sabers! He can actually reach the shoulder ones this time, unlike the 1/100 No grade.

Activated GN Sword.

One of the reasons that I got MG Exia Ignition mode was that they give you the option to switch between Regular, and Repair, the battle damaged Version.

I didn't like how the blade for the repair version was white. Also, the cape was a bit too hard.

But Repair Version looks pretty good.

Here's the front view of the frame.

Here's the back view of the frame.

One problem that I heard some people talk about, was how the shoulder pad is pretty loose. There isn't actually a problem if it's assembled correctly. I removed the shoulder pieces, leaving only the hinge. Then I pushed the PC part in the arm as far as it would go, which would be up to the thicker ring. This makes the hinge secured.

The GN drive has two light up leds, one facing the front, and one facing the back.

Finally I found the correct batteries at Walmart.

This was a pretty fun MG to build, and Looking at the improvements in proportion, movement/articulation and just overall appearance, made this one of my favourite MGs to date. I couldn't find batteries for the Drive just yet, but when I do, I'll add the photos.

I see you didn't apply the dry transfer decals...
Anyways, I like how you painted your CB base... ^_^
Thanks! The decals kept ripping/dying when I tried applying them, so I gave up on them. Guess I need more practice?
My method is:
• Cut out the intended decal
• Stick it onto the intended surface using scortch tape or something
• Apply pressure on the marking onto the surface using out-of-ink ball pen (cheap one is enough)
Voila~! My precioooouuuuusssssss... XD

Remember... No ones perfect... Some of my decals have some weird angles after application... X3
I added the decals that I thought were good.
