Fruits Basket Viridian Review

I bought the original Viridian Collection when I came back from my first year of college because I had fallen in love with it so deeply <3 I honestly had no money in my account, I got called for a babysitting gig and earned 50 dollars. The Viridian Collection is what I bought. And then, two months later, a NEW Viridian collection came out, for a much cheaper price. I had money to spare, so I bought the second one to see if there would be any differences in the discs.

This is the original Viridian Collection. There are four discs that come in their own box and the cover box is made out of very sturdy material. It feels like it was worth a good amount.

This is the second Viridian collection that they're selling now.

The cover art and material leaves much to be desired.

There are only two boxes that contain the four discs, which is disappointing. The only conclusion that I can come to is that the original cost a lot more to make and the anime industry was trying to cut back on costs... but on Fruits Basket?! I mean, Fruits Basket is... it's just Fruits Basket, what can I say. Needless to say, this new version is a letdown ._.
