Review/Gallery: The new Figma Winter Campaign Accessories
When I saw the little gloves and scarf that were part of the Figma Winter Campaign, I knew I had to have them for myself. Once I got them and the Miyuki Figma I ordered from Amiami, though, I kind of began to wonder if they really were worth all the hype.
Over at Tomopop, I wrote up a very brief little review about the new accessories and added some pictures I took of Miyuki having fun in the snow in my front yard. I'm really, really happy with how the photos turned out, though. Not bad for just a point-and-shoot camera!
Unfortunately, as it turns out, everything wasn't quite as well as I'd hoped they'd be with the new accessories. To summarize: the mittens don't have the same joint as the regular hands on a Figma do, so they don't fit well. Kind of a bummer. >.<
I was lucky and got this before all the snow melted yesterday. It was a pretty fun time and definitely one of my favorite photo shoots ever.
Miyuki seemed to have fun out in the snow, too!
Hmmm, maybe I should have splurged for the winter version instead ... poor Miyuki ...

I got my Haruhi with the Winter bonus yesterday, and I'm very disappointed with the mittens. As you pointed out in Tomopop, they have no ball on the end of the rod so they just don't stay in unless the arms are raised up. Even when they do stay in, there's no articulation at all. I don't think I'll ever be using them, to be honest.
You should probably edit this post to include these glaring flaws so that even people who don't click through to your Tomopop review will be sufficiently warned.
