my First Nendos, Lesson Learned....
besides being a gunpla fan, i'm also an anime fan, and yesterday i went out to buy something different..^^
being my first time to buy nendos, and without any research done beforehand, i ended up getting these two Bootlegs..^^; it was only 350php, at first i actually thought it was the real deal (had no idea how much it really was), the quality was not bad at all, and being my first time to buy nendos, i really didn't know how to tell if it's a bootleg or not..really should have read about these before i went buying..^^;
but then, i saw this Saber Lily and it was 2000php, right then i knew the two i bought earlier was bootlegs..oh well, s**t happens..XDD but atleast i'm 100% sure my saber lily is geniune, and now i know how to spot those friggin' bootlegs..lesson learned..XD i'm not gonna throw away or destroy the bootlegs like what the others said, i paid for them so i'll keep them..^^ can't wait for the Nendo Mugi i pre-ordered, which i'm sure is not a bootleg..:D

Not entirely, they still lack skills and technology to counterfeit small scaled high quality figures like Vocaloid series for Nendo Puchi, they look god awful.

this may be true but on e-bay they are still stupid enough to sell bootlegs for minimal price thus giving more suspision to fakes..
Its a little tough to buy legit things in the PI since bootlegging/piracy is rampant there. If you can, try buying online from reputable retailers like hlj, amiami, etc.
hehe, yeah..XD i actually want to but buying on our local shops is more convenient for me, and now that i know how to spot those bootlegs, i'm pretty sure i won't make the same mistake..^^

yeah..^^ first is the bootlegs doesn't have the circular seal for the box, also it doesn't have the plastic sheets inside, the genuine ones have it on the figure itself, kinda like a pillow or something..and on person, you'll really see the difference on the quality, the bootlegs are more glossy..^^ and the paint is not as good as the genuine ones, though these bootlegs are not bad at all, i really didn't think they were fake..^^;
some bootlegs have the circular seals on the box to make it seem more real
There's also no sticker on the front of L's and Mio's boxes, unlike Saber Lily's.
ummm, my Touhou nendo, and my Mabinaga Nao nendo don't have stickers...
and they are official.
i've also seen some on the shop where i got my saber lily, some didn't have that sticker but they are official..^^
Good points, there are many other subtle things you can find out if you are getting from a retail store. Even the box prints and labels are not crisp and brilliant in color as original ones. Plus the base of bootlegged figma/nendoroids simply says "Made in China". There are different things to watch out for in ebay but most of time you are assuming the fact the information provided are not lies. Then again if they did they won't be able to run online business ^^;

My first (and only) nendoroid is a bootleg too ^^;; But I bought mine 'in real life' and not from the internet. AND it costed the same as an original >.>

Good man. Throwing away anything is just a waste of money. When people throw away stuff just because it happened to be a bootleg, I facepalm at them, because they're throwing away their money. Would've been better to just keep it, or at least, sell it back on ebay or something. Or, you could make a little kid happy and give it to them. :3
At any rate, lol, my first figure was a bootleg too lol, and I still kept it, because it was my cash. :3

Asside from the usual stickers the more recent legit Nendo's come with protective wrapping around the figures them selves inside the box, but yes the price is one of the bigest give away's.
yeah, that's the first thing i noticed on my saber lily, besides the price, the plastic wrappings which the bootlegs doesn't have..^^
85% off japan toys that being imported have sticker like that saber lily except the importer buy directly from japan or some online store
all my figures are "made in china", so all of them was bootlegs ???
from what i've read on other websites, both real and bootlegs are made from china..^^
