MoePasson Artwork Contest
This is something I have been meaning to do for a while now, hopefully it's not against the rules. ^^;
You see, I can't draw but I have always wanted a professionally illustrated moé mascot for my blog's banner and for my about page.
I have already designed my mascot with the help of the anime girl generator here.

She does look nice but I was hoping to get some original artwork to bring out Sakura-chan's true potential.
If you can draw and illustrate professionally, please participate in my contest.
Contest Details
Please send the following for the contest:
1.) A banner measuring 730 x 180 pixels with the text "Moé Passion A Blog of a US Sailor and Otaku" with a moé illustration of my mascot Sakura-chan.
2.) A large illustration of Sakura-chan with some naval motifs for my about page. Please be creative and try to make her look cute. ^^;
Prizes:
First Place Prize
I will send $100 to the winner of the first place prize for use of their artworks (banner and fanart) on my web page.
Runners Up Selectee Prizes
I will give something to the “runner up selectees” in this contest via paypal. A “runner up selectee”, is someone who did not win first place, but is someone who I have chosen to use their art works on my web page somewhere.
Of course, this amount would be influenced by how many entries I decide to use for my website. But, because I am financing the prizes from my own pocket with no ads or sponsors, I can NOT afford to give every runner up $100. That’s would just get out of hand. ^^;
Policy
By submitting an entry to the contest, you are NOT guaranteed a prize. ONLY if I decide to use your artworks on my website, making you either the first prize winner or a “runner up selectee” .
Also, no hard feelings if I do not choose your art works. I do appreciate the time and effort you guys are putting into these.

Is there a specific due date? :3 I would love to do artwork for you, but I'm really busy at the moment and probably will not have time for it until the 2nd week of March.

I'd say the deadline will be the 14th of March. Any longer then that, and I might be underway for a very long time with no access to my personal e-mail for a while.

Sigh... I would like to enter, but I'm not really that good at drawing ^^;;
I have edited my prizes and policies for this contest so that it is possible to win a prize even if you are not the first prize winner. Please read the details in this article before submitting.
I changed the policies, to encourage more submissions but also to clarify that this is a contest and not me buying artworks for a set price. The first place prize did not change however.
If anyone submitted an a entry (1 person so far), and does not agree with the new prizes/policies, please shoot me an e-mail and I can remove your entry. I think it’s a good thing though, because it increases your chances to win something and I didn’t change the main prize.
Should be more fun for all this way. Sorry for not wording it this way in the beginning. ^^;
