Mountain Spirit Mobil Suit
Yeh, I know what you're thinking, what is this "Mountain Spirit Mobile Suit"?
I’ve been carving the wooden Owens Valley Dolls for six month now and have reached a point where the design and embellishment of the figures is no longer going through any significant concept modifications. So with the OVD project in the production phase, I have started the “Hauser” phase of figure development.
What is the “Hauser”?
The “Hauser” is a mecha/Gundam-influenced wood sculpt with plasma engines, “beam” weapon and “force” shield.
Today marks the completion of the "Hauser" or “Mountain Spirit Armored Suit” prototype. The prototype will be known as the “Red Paint Gan” version. A “gan” is the mountain spirit of the Apache.
O.K. got everything on the beast so is now ready for another undercoat . . . and some photos.
There are splits in the woood that need to be filled before the final visit to the paint shop, sanding is also in order .. .
. . . rough sculpt before armor, etc.
