The Legendary Postal Treatment Episode 2
Yeah, never expecting to get the second episode but I guess God still gave me a test to be solved :D
You can found Episode 1 over here:

The barbaric postal dudes seems treating my item like they're throwing or stacking a sack of rice

The result of those action are, one of the item are dented.

So lucky, the item in it are unharmed. Raspberyl get pissed off, thought.

Will make review this Kadou Shoujou/Mameshiki figure soon. After I finished releasing my rage by shooting people head with P90 in online FPS game :D

That's honestly not that bad. Same can be said for your episode 1. It's certainly a bad treatment, but I've seen worse, much much much much worse. But I have to say whoever shipped those must not care or know too much about international shipping. The shipping box is definitely way too weak in both instances. Although certainly brutal postal treatment here didn't help either.
Luckily for me this has never happened so far. Although as much as like my figure packaging as long as the contents are not damaged I would be fine.
I love the P90 one of my favorite guns ever.
My first priority also the content. But seeing dented box always giving me a bad mood :D
I love how 50 bullet (85 max for cash item) of P90 can last long than regular SMG XD
I had this happen to my Mio figma that I received today. I'm really glad that she's unharmed but I wanted all my boxes to be kept in perfect condition just because I'm a big K-On fan and wanted everything to be kept perfect on them. But oh well! The contents the most important thing.
What a coincidence! I just placed an order for one of those LiquidStone Reimus myself. (^.^) I was actually very surprised by the level of articulation that the chibi figures provided. Not only that, they also have much better proportions than the Nendoroid counterparts and are just so much more cuter in my opinion. (^.^)
With regards to your actual post topic, how was the package delivered? Via SAL or EMS? I personally always opt for EMS if possible. It is definitely more expensive, but the parcels arrive faster and are in much better hands. Deliveries via SAL tend to be treated with little respect as seen from this video:

Painful, I know... But it is indeed a serious wake-up call for any one who orders online on a regular basis who ships via SAL.
I use SAL mostly and always arrive in good condition if the packing is good. But lately, packages tend to get bad treatment (my friend also had the same experience).
I don't use EMS because EMS does not mean EMS when the item held by the custom in my country. I mean, SAL shipment can arrived in 7-10 days, while EMS took 2 weeks because the custom dudes are slacking off >.< (SAL shipment tend to delivered right away to the post office, not held by the custom first)
And yes, I love this Mameshiki/Kadou Shoujo Reimu already :D
are you by chance from malaysia? because the way you describe it, its exactly the same here. my goods have been in the local custom for 3 weeks!!! and i am using ems...
Close enough, we live as neighbor country, I'm from Indonesia :D
3 weeks for EMS shipment?! I never have that kind of...oh wait, I do have 3 weeks EMS delivery, when buying my Yoda Force FX Lightsaber. So lucky the custom does not demanding a ransom.
Lately the post hasn't been very nice. Even at work, the boxes we get in lately have all been smashed and seemingly ripped open. Some get waterlogged, too. -__- It's very unsettling.
Sellers should invest in better boxes. Thicker ones, at least. HLJ and Mandarake have especially good boxes, I've noticed. Anything from them is always in pristine condition, even the shipping box. I also don't care much about the condition of the box as long as as the product is fine, but I don't want to wait for the day that everything arrives damaged, too, lol.
Most of the time, the problem lies with the transport, not the sender.
Yes, I know that and that can't be helped. But sellers, on the other hand, are able to provide more protection.
That's arguable. Transport a lot of time has established guideline on how much the shipping container will need to sustain during transport. Now yes transport in certain countries are probably really bad. And there are also other isolated incidents. However, the fact that most people choose to use thin shipping boxes or reuse boxes that are not meant for the type of shipping process are mostly at blame here. I've had tons of things shipped to me, and I've see handful of damaged boxes. However, the shipping box, the way item is packed inside are typically to be blamed. And the choice of boxes, packing of the item to make sure they are tight are shipper's fault not carrier's fault. It is only easier to blame the carrier for most people.
Well, this box is as thick as HLJ's box you know :D
So I don't blame the seller, since they using this big box to protect my items :D
[Gravity-defying-hair mode]
the hair joint using super strong motor :D
"What the hell is this s***?!?!!"
ouch, I guess I'm lucky the things I've gotten in the past have come in one piece.
when I bought my ps3 a couple of years ago, it arrived with the external cardbox way worse than that, I didn't request another one because I payed for it a fair price and was brand new (one of the few ones with ps2 backward compatibility) and also its original box wasn't that bad, points+ for sony!! ;P, I also keeps the boxes so is really annoying when that happens *sigh*
Yeah, annoying indeed.
Actually, bags of rice would get MORE respect than this.
Orz! The waiting is too much!
Sorry to hear your shipment got damaged. I guess "accountability" is not something to be found easily these days...
I just hoping postal & custom officer will treating any packages more gently :)
I am sharing your pain. Coincidentally enough, I got a different Reimu in the mail today who's box was thoroughly trashed :( The figure itself seems fine though luckily.
Even you and I didn't really care about the boxes. But still, I believe we always get annoyed when receiving dented or crushed package.
wow.. i haven't had this happen to me.
Guessing this if from amiami? they used the same tape on my recent order xd.
geezz O_o may not be bad for some people but that over here = complaint letters. thank god my postal service don't treat my stuff nor anyone elses like that O_o
why I don't buy from amiami is because their boxes aren't very sturdy...Hobby search and HLJ, Their boxes are hard as rocks and they use very good clearance and my goods always comes nicely cushioned and never have any damage. I can probably drop the package from second floor, kick it around a few times and still would have no damage
