Bootleg Drossel figma, Arise!
So, there have been rumours recently about bootleg Drossels popping up, and sure enough (and also finally, I guess) they have.
Posted on 4chan today, C.C.!!6unk0PDRNfD showed off the Drossel (or Derpel/Dorcel as she's now dubbed) that he received from eBay seller "suzypeople".
It's special features? Bad molding, sloppy paint, backwards joints, super-weak plastic and Drossel's new permanent head-falling-off-mode.
I think that it's pretty safe to say that, as many of us already know by now; if you come across one with a price too good to be true, it probably is. Stay on the alert and take caution with some HK sellers, and stay away from any "Chinese" or "Taiwan OEM" versions, as these are being called.

Honestly, I'm gonna say, it doesn't look that bad. I think people just overexaggerate when they see pictures of bootlegs.
Of course, bootlegs are still bad, but hey, to some people it's just a cheap alternative.
Though that joint in the third picture looks awful.

I have to agree with Cascade. I've seen much worse bootlegs.
Yeah. I've seen a lot of bootlegs, and this one is on the better end of it. These bootleg companies are getting A LOT better at making these. Of course, I still don't support bootlegs and piracy, but, we can't really stop it, so what's the point complaining about it? We're better off just being informed, and use that knowledge to our advantage.
To be fair, my drossels arms broke like that even though she was legit >.>

My Drossel is crying at the sight of this imposter!
The gloss of her body isn't the same gloss that the real Drossels have. And also, her visors (eyes) are too small or too close together.
I even suspecting if this "Taiwan OEM" not even painted with white color.
I wonder if Disney is gonna do something about it.I mean they are a giant corporation.
As the person who took these pictures, I'd like to say I did not get to properly show off just how bad Derpel REALLY is. Her head opens up a bit when you put on the flight accessory, the combat accessory cannot get on, let alone STAY on, Her joints are all incredibly loose and now a day after having her, I need the stand to get her to well, stand. That said, my friend is working to get her money back without the hassle of Shipping it BACK to the seller. If this goes through, I'm giving Derpel a shark-head Gatling gun arm and maybe a new paint job. She will be glorious.
Ahh, I wondered if you would be on here. I hope you don't mind me using the pics you posted, I thought it would be important to get the word out there, considering how popular Dros' is.
Anyway, yeah, she sounds really bad now. I was thinking of buying one or two for customizing... but maybe that would be a bad idea ~_~

I came upon this by accident, actually. I wasn't even aware of this site until a coincidental google search. And then I saw this and after laughing myself silly thought I'd comment. No worries about using the pictures, I'm glad they're of use!
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it. I mean, if you need extra hands/accessories, by all means go for it if you're willing to pay. THOSE are spot on - far as I can tell. However, the figure itself just threatens to break. And thanks, I think my friend has made head way. Though Suzypeople keeps saying 50% back, but with the amount of bad feedback they're getting, they'll most likely be bullied into 100% refund, no strings attached.
