Anime that makes you feel nostalgic when seeing it again

I came across this picture today and oh...the emo disease strikes again. Don't know why but I felt nostalgic whenever I came across some old anime that I watched back then.

I know this is kinda cheesy...I think Gatekeepers shaped me into what I am today. There were earlier anime shows that I watched but GK really inspired me to dig for more anime stuffs and eventually turned me into an otaku. I won't forget how I loved to shout "GEEEEETOOOO...OPUNNNNN!!!!" back then, way earlier than "WHO THE HELL YOU THINK I AM!"

Well, the emo feeling I have when I saw this pic is the same when this show finished airing. I moped around for days *laughs* Wished Youtube existed back in 2002.

Other anime that make me feel the same way are:

1. Ayashi no Ceres (damn, I don't want to hear Yuuhi crying again!)
2. Boys Be (another anime that really influenced me :3 )

Do you guys feel the same about certain anime? Feeling kinda nostalgic or something like that when stumbling upon old anime that you watched back then?

Btw, I got the pic from this site:

I've always had a weak spot for Tekkaman Blade and Rurouni Kenshin. I suppose it's because I used to watch those when they aired here back when I was still a little kid.
It was my first ever contact with anime (Dubbed in English though sadly) and I really loved it to bits. Still do in fact, I really loved those series. (^_^)

As long as an anime ends, I feel very sad for some reason, almost teary at times. Even for something like Lucky Star, I nearly teared when it ended. I feel like an important part of my life is about to go bye bye. =(

I know exactly what you mean! Same goes for manga series and long novels for me. I often can't get myself to read the last chapter or watch the last episode because I know I'll feel strangely melancholic afterwards...

This! I honestly share your exact sentiments.
I usually wait a little while until I actually read the last volume of a manga or watch the last episode of an anime. I don't want them to end and I get kind of sad whenever I do decide to read the end.

I sometimes feel like some kind of a bond between me and the characters was created, and it'll fade away once I close the book or finish the anime.

I was also depressed about the end of Lucky Star. I wanted to see what happened to them after high school.

As if a part of us just died, right. Since u mentioned about this, I remembered Kyou from CLANNAD did mention about this kind of thing, people will feel sad after the main series ended but the stories won't stop right away. It'll continue in other medium. "Like a doujin, maybe," Konata answered her immediately.

I think I read that in "Kyou Mania 2" doujin. It's in the omake.

Whenever I see anything to do with any show I've seen I feel like this.
The worst offender is Eureka 7. Whenever I see anything to do with that I recall all the feelings I had when I watched it one summer over about a few days. For the entirety of the summer I felt sad because I'm a sappy person and Eureka 7's story was tear jerking.

Ha, I remember that one. I wanted to reach through the screen and shake Renton by the shoulders so may times throughout the series.

But the endings was breathtaking. I could watch it over and over again...

Well, some anime that made make me remember the good old days would be Rurouni Kenshin, InuYasha, Gundam Wing, and Dragonball Z. I also feel kind of depressed when a series I really like is coming to an end. That's why I am kind of regretting watching the rest of InuYasha: Kanketsu-Hen.

Gate Keeper was really a great anime I really love the first episode. I think the golden titles I enjoyed watching the most were Initial D, Rurouni Kenshin OVA, Detective Conan, and Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula.

I never watched gatekeepers (at that time it wasn't as easily available) but I remember buying some anime magazines that came with CDs and one had the Gatekeepers opening, which was pretty frigging kickass. I still like watching and listening to it up to this day.
