Anime that makes you feel nostalgic when seeing it again

I came across this picture today and oh...the emo disease strikes again. Don't know why but I felt nostalgic whenever I came across some old anime that I watched back then.
I know this is kinda cheesy...I think Gatekeepers shaped me into what I am today. There were earlier anime shows that I watched but GK really inspired me to dig for more anime stuffs and eventually turned me into an otaku. I won't forget how I loved to shout "GEEEEETOOOO...OPUNNNNN!!!!" back then, way earlier than "WHO THE HELL YOU THINK I AM!"
Well, the emo feeling I have when I saw this pic is the same when this show finished airing. I moped around for days *laughs* Wished Youtube existed back in 2002.
Other anime that make me feel the same way are:
1. Ayashi no Ceres (damn, I don't want to hear Yuuhi crying again!)
2. Boys Be (another anime that really influenced me :3 )
Do you guys feel the same about certain anime? Feeling kinda nostalgic or something like that when stumbling upon old anime that you watched back then?
Btw, I got the pic from this site:

I've always had a weak spot for Tekkaman Blade and Rurouni Kenshin. I suppose it's because I used to watch those when they aired here back when I was still a little kid.
It was my first ever contact with anime (Dubbed in English though sadly) and I really loved it to bits. Still do in fact, I really loved those series. (^_^)
I loved Kenshin too until Shishio's arc.
I love Kenshin! one of my all time favorites, when ever i see my Manga or dvd's It just brings back so many memories.
oh ya, the mangas! totally love enishi's arc. i finished reading all of them when i was in high school. used to go to manga library to read them :3
Tokyo mew mew i watch it when i was a kid and i hate watching the english version because its just so not original.
There are many titles that remind me of the "golden years", but Big O certainly takes me back. =3
It's show time!!!!, :P couldn't resist
As long as an anime ends, I feel very sad for some reason, almost teary at times. Even for something like Lucky Star, I nearly teared when it ended. I feel like an important part of my life is about to go bye bye. =(
I know exactly what you mean! Same goes for manga series and long novels for me. I often can't get myself to read the last chapter or watch the last episode because I know I'll feel strangely melancholic afterwards...
This! I honestly share your exact sentiments.
I usually wait a little while until I actually read the last volume of a manga or watch the last episode of an anime. I don't want them to end and I get kind of sad whenever I do decide to read the end.
I sometimes feel like some kind of a bond between me and the characters was created, and it'll fade away once I close the book or finish the anime.
I never got to finish mangas I read... so I've never felt that way towards manga. XD
I was also depressed about the end of Lucky Star. I wanted to see what happened to them after high school.
Sure would like to see Lucky Star Season 2. xD College life. Hahaha!
As if a part of us just died, right. Since u mentioned about this, I remembered Kyou from CLANNAD did mention about this kind of thing, people will feel sad after the main series ended but the stories won't stop right away. It'll continue in other medium. "Like a doujin, maybe," Konata answered her immediately.
I think I read that in "Kyou Mania 2" doujin. It's in the omake.
Whenever I see anything to do with any show I've seen I feel like this.
The worst offender is Eureka 7. Whenever I see anything to do with that I recall all the feelings I had when I watched it one summer over about a few days. For the entirety of the summer I felt sad because I'm a sappy person and Eureka 7's story was tear jerking.
E7 made me feel the same way :( I kind of want to watch it again, but I try not to because i'd probably feel sad all over again :(
Ha, I remember that one. I wanted to reach through the screen and shake Renton by the shoulders so may times throughout the series.
But the endings was breathtaking. I could watch it over and over again...
Watching thr Good old times..... 6=_=> makes me feel want to say oh GAWD why this story ended .Sad cliffhanger story is bad for my health coz my eye cant handle it
Well, some anime that made make me remember the good old days would be Rurouni Kenshin, InuYasha, Gundam Wing, and Dragonball Z. I also feel kind of depressed when a series I really like is coming to an end. That's why I am kind of regretting watching the rest of InuYasha: Kanketsu-Hen.
I remember feeling really sad after the end of CCS but in a strange way I felt at peace knowing that the ending was happy. But as Tsubasa has reached its climax I'm worried I'm going to feel the same way all over again :s
ah..my golden time anime...i feel enjoy nor sad watching "mahou kishi rayearth" or CCS,el hazard, you are under arrest,or some many enjoyment w/ some "Fan service" stuff in arly 90's & some typical mech anime like some mid 80's or 90's especially gundam..fell happy to recall all these anime ^Y^
we otakus do have the "good old times". yeah!
Gate Keeper was really a great anime I really love the first episode. I think the golden titles I enjoyed watching the most were Initial D, Rurouni Kenshin OVA, Detective Conan, and Shinseiki GPX Cyber Formula.
good to see a fellow GK viewer. used to own AEGIS special card (i photoshopped them :3 )
oh my gosh, ayashi no ceres! same here...and maybe fushigi yuugi as well. >.<
man, i had horrible taste...
:D went fangirlish for fushigi yuugi to even though i'm a guy. but damn, if i see nuriko and chichiri again, i will ;_;
Card Captor Sakura or Sakura Cardcaptors as we said it back in Ecuador, because it is the one anime i really remember watching dubbed in spanish back in my home country
GunBuster: Aim for the Top... ... Has me tearing up at the end.....
(First Anime I bought Subbed..)
Inuyasha, Gundam SEED, and Galaxy Express 999.
When I listen to the opening/ending theme especially. Some songs brings back way too much memories, it's kinda cool. ^ ^
the song "River" in Gundam SEED is an emo inducer, yeah...
Probably the worst offender for me is Martian Successor Nadesico... it's the anime that really got me hooked on anime, and I still love it.
Some that make me almost cry every time I remember them are Saishuu Heiki Kanojo (Saikano), Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Da Capo I, and specially AIR TV !!!! every time I hear it on an AMV or just by youtube'ing I feel very sad and nostalgic ;_; good animes!! of course those old ones too when I was a kid, but most of them give me a joyness sensation because of my childhood
AIR TV? A good tear-jerker, I must say.
Ruined by gate keepers 21..... ARRRRGGHHHHH!@#@$#%
Don't mention about GK21...it's just... *facepalms*
I never watched gatekeepers (at that time it wasn't as easily available) but I remember buying some anime magazines that came with CDs and one had the Gatekeepers opening, which was pretty frigging kickass. I still like watching and listening to it up to this day.
Lucky for us, someone uploaded all Gatekeepers episodes in Youtube.
This is my first anime, i watched this anime when i was age 12 xD!
not my 1st anime though but it was the 1st anime that really influenced me :)
One word.
Toonami.
Sailor Moon always gets me right in the heart. It was the first series that made me a serious anime fan.
