Figma Fate Testarossa THE MOVIE FIRST Review

Here we have younger version of Fate Testarossa, one of my all time favorite characters, finally given a poseable and moveable figure. You would think that I would be completely happy with the figure right?

Fantastic review! do love the new Bardiche "buster" form, i do agree that her faces do look a bit off. Will absolutely have to keep an eye out her and Nanoha.
I would've gotten her if it wasn't for her awkward face. Still, great review as ever. Are you planning to do reviews on other figures than figma? Personally even without the review (in general) figmas are good enough for what they are other than bad luck on the draw for mis-paint and what not.
Honestly, I wouldn't say I won't recommend picking her up as she's the first ever poseable young/loli Fate that we've gotten. I would actually swap her faces with either the already existing Figma Adult Fate or the upcoming school uniform Fate.
I do review figures from a number of other lines, Robot Damashii, Chogokins, Dolls, and more, though my main focus now is Figma.
Yea, I know you've done other reviews as well, just saying figma reviews contain less surprise than those others :P
When it coems to Fate, beggars can't be choosers. Pre-ordered her yesterday.
Nice review. And not sure what you're going to think of this, but I heard they toned down Fate's menacing side in the movie, and she's more of a lonely girl who needs a friend - who she finds in Nanoha...After er, some befriending.
But on the bright side, she's still just as determined as she was in the first season, what's different is her facial expressions. Rather than completely stoic, she also shows a wistful side.
I never found her to be particularly menacing in the first place,i always felt that she was more desperate than calculating.
Menacing is probably the wrong word, since I didn't find her menacing either. But, it's more that she was very stoic, and portrayed facial expressions that indicated she was willing to do anything to accomplish her goals, despite her feeling genuinely sorry for doing them.
Would've liked her to have a sad fase expression myself, like the nendo version. But you can swap the faces, and hte school girl version i think has a better face....
Maybe its a good thing I haven't watched the Nanoha series yet. The figures look fantastic and I'd feel tortured and my wallet broke wanting them.
The awkward facial expressions and playdoh-like hair turned me off. I'm no hardcore Fate fan, so I wont go as far buying the school uniform ver to get a better face(Not falling for it max factory! =/).
