Gundam Poll + MG Crossbone
Two things in this post!
First, Bandai has a little poll on what the favorite Gundam series is. Unfortunately they left a whole bunch of series off. Important ones, like Turn A or G Gundam.
So, I created my poll. http://otakurevolution.com/content/favorite-animated-gundam-series
Please vote, share with your friends, feel bad for F91.
Also wanted to post a few pictures of my MG Crossbone Full Cloth. I got this kit long ago and it's general shoddiness lead me to just use it for random tests (most noticeably the top coat comparison for my gunpla guide). I decided to use it for a few last paint tests and in the process finish it off. Here're the results.
Also, while I'm at it, whatever happened to the Bandai World Gundam Competition?

Anyone who has one of these kits knows about the shitty construction and general looseness of all the parts. While trying to pose this kit for the last image every time I would touch it, a piece would fall off. Put that piece back on and another one (or two) would come off.
I eventually lost my temper (doesn't happen often, honest) and threw it against the wall. This picture chronicles the results. I eventually just started gluing shit into place.

The B&W colour scheme suits Crossbone the best! At first I thout it's a photoshop edit (Or is it? XD)...
As for the Bandai World Gunpla Competition, the results have been posted moons back...

Is the problem with the Full Cloth itself? I built the Ver.Ka one years back and never had any problems--in fact, the Crossbone fixed some problems with the older MG F91, so I'm surprised you're finding it shoddy. I have a Full Cloth Crossbone that isn't built yet, so I could use a few warnings before I start, in case it turns otu differently from my old Crossbone build.
BTW: Use Plastruct Plastic Weld for the ABS parts on the MGs. I've used super glue on them before, but it doesn't do what I want (which is weld plastic together at the material level so I can file/sand the seam lines)
Nice color scheme. Added with the "death" logo gives off another bone-chilling charm.
War Lord
great color scheme for crossbone

I never had that problem with the Ver. Ka Crossbone, but I tend to glue and paint my kits on consrtuction anyway, so...Haven't started with the Full Cloth version yet.
I love the MG F91, despite the faults. It's the base for most of my small-size conversions (see my conversion of the F-90 V-Type). The only reason F91 doesn't get any ove even from UC fans is because of what was done to it--a movie instead of a series, lack of depth, etc.
It's really sad because I love the potential for background in the UC 0123 era--SNRI humiliating AE in terms of MS tech for one, natural progression of technologies (smaller, faster and more powerful MS), lot of stuff.

One more thing: Hate to say it, but very few Gundam series come close to Zeta in terms of storytelling.
Zeta is basically the Gundam equivalent of Puccini's Opera "Tosca": Pretty much everybody dies. ^_^;;;

Yeah I agree, this kit LOOKS great, but the construction and engineering was just utter shit. I nearly felt like throwing it against the wall, but I remembered my friend was offering me 50 bucks for it, and it was in perfect condition. So hell, I sold it to him and bought something else xD
