My new figure display
Since visiting DC and figure.fm often in the past year, I found myself buying more and more 1/8 and 1/6 scale figures, and they started taking up a lot of room! The past 4-5 years, I was mostly dedicated into collecting Dollfie Dream and other doll related stuff, and almost did not buy any figures during that time. The reason at first for me to come to figure.fm was actually because I noticed a growing interest in Dollfie Dreams and always love to see other owner pictures.
The thing is, DC and Figure.fm made me notice how figures had gotten much nicer and improved a lot since the late 90's/early 2000's (back when I was collecting figures before I got into Dollfies). But, having nowhere to display these newly acquired figures, they were just getting crowded on my desk. Figures can surprisingly take up a lot more room than dolls... So, getting inspired by how other figure.fm members display their figures, a couple weeks ago I bought some shelves at ikea.

The 3 Ljusdal glass shelves cost me about 45$ canadian, and took only about 1 hour or so to setup with my boyfriend. I'm really pleased with them and love how my new figure display area turned out! I took a few closeup of some of my new figures (in bad light, sorry), I hope you like them. ^^

Mostly all new figures acquired this year or last year on the bottom and middle shelves (exception Saber which I got 3 years ago or something). The top shelf is all older figures.

I have 3 more figures on pre-order coming soon... I have no idea where I will put them now... need more shelves!

Nice collection there!
Thanks, I finally got the new upload thing to work! ^^
Nice set up and collection! Can I ask you something? How did you get the wall mounts on the wall? I've always planned to get some for my expanding figure collection. Thanks!
The wall brackets are screwed in the wall, each one has 3 or 4 screws that keeps it in place. Even if figures aren't very heavy, I used plastic wall plugs to give it more grip into the wall.

I took care of all the mesuring first and drew little pencil marks on the wall for reference. I also used a level to make sure things were straight. I used an old school level like this http://www.whartonnetimpact.org/b2b/pics/Level_Tool.jpg, but there's electronic ones nowaways that will draw lines with a laser on the wall for you and make things very easy.
Thanks a lot for the helpful information! So it comes with screws?
No you have to buy the screws separately at a hardware store. You can get the plastic wall plugs there as well. I forgot to mention, for this particular shelf you need to use flat head screws (it says so in the instructions).
Ah ok, thanks again! You really helped me out.
I have a few Ljusdal shelves myself, they're very nice!
Looking good. When I get my own place, I'm definetely visiting Ikea too for some 'storage material' ^^
Nice display. I'll have to look into those.
Birdy!! nice one!!
She's still on sale at 3120 yen at HLJ, she is very worth it at that price! Too bad she has that small annoying seam line below her armpit, or else she would be perfect! But for 3120 yen, I'm not complaining too much about it. She's gorgeous ^^
Nice Otomes!!
I wish there was more Otome figures, it's sad they are mostly only in resin kits and gashapon size forms.
I've always wanted to get this figure. =P
She's a very cute representation of Hakufu in the early manga/anime. I don't think she should be that expensive to get even now.
I got that Hakufu for around $30. I still see her around at anime shops I go to.
love the mai otome stuff. cool display.
See someone else has this figure. This was my first Saber figure.
Lovely Witchblade figures.
Nice collection; every time I see that Saber PVC, I can't help but think of the bootleg. :P
Sabreeeena! *plays creepy music* lol
Lovely display setup. I much prefer shelves to cabinets as they are much more space efficient. I'd like some proper shelving put up too, for now I'm using a book case.
If you had the "Sader" version of it, I would've cracked up and gave you 50 bonus points for awesomeness lol.
I'd have nightmares if I kept that in my rooom! XD
I think this shelves look great for figures, but I get a lot of dust where I'm living, so I had to get a detolf >_<
I was randomly looking at sailor moon stuff when I came across your page. o.o I have never heard of Dollfies before but they are so beautiful!! do you make your own?
Most of them I buy are limited characters which are already completed, but I've tried painting 3 myself ^^"
