C.C. by E2046/Gathering

Posted by paradigmshift

I just got this pre-painted resin kit in today from E2046 and The Gathering of C.C. from Code Geass. As there is a serious lack of good C.C. figures in the market, I had to go to great lengths to find a well-made one to add to my collection, and The Gathering did not disappoint. More photos over at my Blog.

other than the face that seems a little bit off, great C2 figure XD

wish they'd do more detailing/quality to the hair though to match current PVC "standards"

Yeah, I think its the lips that make her face seem off.

There are imperfections in her hair as well, but I think its pretty decent. At least it doesn't look like a green cape or something.

I agree that there just aren't enough well made CC figures out there n she doesn't get enough love.

Every time I go looking for one, some aspect of it makes me turn away from the purchase.

Here, its mainly the face and hair that look a litle bit fishy to me, other than that, the pose and overall composition are great.

Yeah, there definitely aren't enough C.C. figures. I only have two pre-made PVC versions of her, and one of them is the prize Ichiban Kuji one. The only one I have of her from general release is the Alpha Omega version.

*grumble* that completed figure prob cost as much as my official kit, and I have yet to paint mine!! She came out summer of 2007,right? I remember trying to choose between this and the 83•C version (which is also done by the gathering but I uploaded a pic of mine on this figure.fm)and I ended up getting both.

I have nothing against gathering but I find it hard to justify the price for simpler kits like this. I have urd and world of elegance on preorder. She will be a beast.

Yeah, I just don't have the time to invest in garage kits, so the only resin figures I have are the pre-made ones from circles like Gathering. I will try my hand at one eventually.

Agreed with the others - the face seems a bit off, but the rest of this figure looks good. Like the pose and base in particular.

imho, the face looks a bit anxious or depressed, not exactly portraying the indifferent immortal witch look.
Overall, the figure still looks pretty nice.

Btw, why is the base like gundam fingers?

I think it's supposed to be the hand of a Sutherland, but I could be wrong.

Really awesome pictures, thanks for showing us all. I ordered this girl a few days ago as well and she's on her way to me right now :)

IMO I think she looks great, and personally I don't think there's a single thing that's wrong with her face. I was worried about the quality of her when I saw the original finished pictures, but yours have greatly reassured me that she is beautiful =D

I'm a big GK collector and this will be my first Code Geass figure that isn't an original kit. I've generally been against e2046 and their methods of selling "bootleg" kits, but in this case I had to be a huge hypocrite and buy her. Hopefully I won't make a habit of that =/ but when it comes to C.C. and Code Geass and general I just can't resist!
