MG RX0 Gundam - Destroy Mode

Posted by cmos [www]

Hi everyone,

After posting my RX-0 in Unicorn mode last week, here's the same fella in Destroy mode. Minor tweak to make the Psychoframe red instead of pink. Decided to make the pics slightly brighter this time coz I felt the earlier pics in Unicorn mode were a little 'gloomy'... hehehe...

All colors were laid down using Tamiya TS series paintcans.

C&C (all types ^_^) are most welcomed!

Do you plan to make the v-fin gold?
Also to do the red was it just clear red spray?
Also, it's looking good. Real clean build.

Hm... just felt a gold v-fin would look kinda outta place with the entire white armor. But that's just me... hahaha. Yeah... it's just a few layers of clear red over the psychoframe parts ^_^

This is the Ka version. You can easily tell if it is one by the head part which doesnt have the vulcan cannons while the ones which are currently out have the vulcan cannons

Totally agree... putting on the details were the most tedious part of the build. It'll make a same person crazy.

Yup... the runners for the backpack/foot came originally already in blue.

Hey thanks! I'm still learning how to use a DSLR (Nikon D5000), after being poisoned by my colleagues late last year... LOL. Was using a Lumix PnS camera before this, the difference is like night and day once you grab hold of the basics ;)

Beautiful pics! I really wanted to get this one before but I heard that the red transparent parts kept falling off in Destroy Mode. Is that true?

Thx! Nope... the red parts stay put... it's the white armor which keeps popping off... especially those around the lower arm when you attach the shield... very irritating... hahaha...

Thanks batmouse! Pleasantly suprised you managed to spot the very faint panel linings on the v-fin ^_^

The gold was handbrushed on using off the shelf gold aerosol paint; which I collected in a bottle ;)

I brushed a little too much gold paint onto this part, so the uneven thickness makes it look a bit wonky... LOL...
