SF Japantown C.Blossom Festival
San Francisco Japantown will be having a cherry blossom festival from April 10-18.
I am hoping to get down there on the last day, Sunday April 18, hopefully with at least a couple friends or fellow anime club members from the UC here.
Anyways, I am fairly certain that there are quite a handful of readers here who are from the area, and may possibly be going themselves. So taking that into account, I was curious as to who plans to go, and if anyone would be interested in meeting up for an unofficial dannychoo reader lunch kind of thing. I know I would love to meet a few fellow geeks to geek out with. It makes events like this more memorable imo. It also makes me feel like I am less hikimori and more social =D

Oh, and apparently there will be an "Anime Costumes Award" thing going on at 3:30pm that day. (perhaps this would be the event to group up at !)
I am planning to go, though I'm not sure if I can make it on the 18th.

Hopefully my friend will be able to make it on Sunday with me but either way if I more people from Figurefm go that would be good enough anyways since I like meeting new people^_^. I just want him to go because I hate driving in San Fransisco >_<.

I will try but I don't have a gov't issued ID (I paid and everything already...). I will try to go but they may not let me have the badge...
Passport also works. Getting a govt id shouldn't take too long if you do it right away, you probably get it by fanime.
I definitely plan on being there for the parade and maybe the first Saturday (for the blessing of the mikoshi - FREE sake).

Unfortunately I myself won't be able to go for the free sake day. Wedding to go to (which is why I am going to try to go on the 18th instead)
