Going to Japan for two weeks

Posted by Rurouni Heero

Konnichiwa fellow DC and Figure.fm members. I've planned a trip to Japan (my third one...) for two weeks starting April 4th till April 18th and wanted to let the community know so that if anyone wanna say hi and tag along for some time we can try and plan a meeting. You can PM me or just reply here. I'll be mostly taking pictures of sakuras and going on about in Tokyo and Kyoto for some shopping. I speak french, english and a bit of japanese. It's finally a dream come true because I wanted to go for the ''hanami'' for the last 4 years but never had the chance to choose my work holidays in the same time. I hope to see some of you guys there, and maybe Danny too !! Well, take care guys!

P.S. : first picture taken from google just to have something related, but the rest was taken last year when I went to see the 1/1 GUndam in Odaiba. Taken with the Lumix LX-3

Wow that's nice!! Good choice! ;) If you see someone wearing a white Anaheim Electronics polo, that will be me! It's the third time I go to Japan but it will be the first time I go there with a friend. See you at the lounge! (free internets but only 2 PCs...)

Hm, I think they advertise to have free internet in room too. At least that was our plan.
BTW, I wonder what your plans in Tokyo (and Kyoto) are, it is possible we have something intersecting on the same days ;)
Our plans are laid out here in comments: http://tokyo.japantimes.co.jp/post/en/273/Best+Japanese+food+is+one+you+make+yourself.html#comments
First trip to Japan for us, though.

Yes, they do have free internet in rooms but you have to bring your laptop, and since I don't have one... lol We'll be going to Kyoto for just a few days so we would gladly meet up and share with you guys along the way. It would be really nice! BTW, your blog showing your attempts at japanese food looks delicious to me!! Very clean and beautiful plates!! I gotta say your have a way to make beautiful meals! I'm sure they're tasteful too! Oishii!! You will find plenty of very nice food spots around Shinjuku. I'll be going to Akihabara too on April 6th!

                Thanks for the kind words.
We probably can meet in the lobby on 6th in the morning at some predetermined time and head to Akihabara together.

I wish you good luck with those scenery shots!! I hope to get some myself! I won't be running that much thought, since I'll be going to Kyoto only for 2 days to get some sakura shots. I'm glad I could have some time off work but still, two weeks is very short to see and do all there is in Japan.

This is truly a small world. I'm going back on April 25th and staying for 3 weeks this time. It's my 4th trip to the Promised Land. Gonna finally visit Kyoto, Osaka and Nara along with Tokyo and all my old faves. Wish some others from here were going around the same time so we could hook up.
