Aka no Bushiroad

Posted by yunamon [www]

Busy schedule hindered my progress of Red Frame Kai, but alas I've finally completed it... Thanks to that tho, Sisterly Love 4koma will have to postpone again... >,<

A thousand apologies to those waiting and anticipating the 4koma... I'll resume the FigNendo madness at later time... ^_~

Red Frame Kai's Tactical Arms II L is basically an exact copy of Blue Frame 2nd Revise's Tactical Arms II, albeit with a few differences here and there...

Flight Form ala Blue Frame 2nd Revise... ^_^

A comparison of Tactical Arms II L with Tactical Arms II...

As former uses the very same runners as the latter, excess parts allow you to recreate the former into the image of the latter... ^^;

Ara~!? Red Frame Kai uses Tactical Arms II...?

However, Tactical Arms II L is still much more badass with the new parts... ^_^

The new parts sorta look like those super bike buffed-up engines and hydraulics... XD

Stated in the manual, Red Frame Kai can use its Tactical Arms II L in different forms depending on the situation...

In Work Form, the handle of the Tactical Arms II L becomes a Beam Torch while the rest becomes a giant manipulator... Being a Junker that deals with repairs and salvage all the time, Lowe could really use this form for all his operations... XD

Delta Form, a direct port from Stargazer x Delta Astray... >,<

According to the manual, in this form Red Frame will be able to use Voiture Lumiere, a solar powered propulsion system, for interplanetary travelling... 0_0

The default V Form...

Conversion/Transformation to other forms are easier to achieve in this form, at least that's what the manual suggests... ^^;

Bow Form, a variation of Arrow Form... Sez me... XD

Holding a bow horizontally looks much cooler don't you agree?

The official Arrow Form...

Archery utilised on Mobile Suits... That's a rarity... :Dc

The default Flight Form...

Closely resembles on how Infinity Justice handles its Flight Pack...

Glide Form... :P My idea of how a Flight Pack should work...

Tactical Arms II L looks like a soaring bird... 0_0 Bird Mode anyone? XD

Mouseover = load notes.
Aka no Bushiroad

Wave Rider Form...

Because Blue Frame 2nd Revise have already did the sword surfing thingie... XD

Mouseover = load notes.
Aka no Bushiroad

Bushi Form... Returning to the roots of its base design, the Samurai warrior... XD

The use of Sword Arms as shoulder fins kinda resembles the likes of Evangelion units... :D

Sword Arms... Because Gerbera Straight and Tiger Pierce are not enough... XD

No beam effect parts included tho, but you can use the ones from Blue Frame 2nd Revise... ^_~

Shinkuu~~ Shoryuuke---n!!!

Inspired by Ken Masters of Street Fighter fame... Incidentally he wears red as well! XD

Claw Form... XD You wouldn't want to be embraced by the end of each of the sharpen tips... *_*

Idea totally copied from Nod's Engineer design in the recently released Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight...

There are more absurd ways you can imagine on how to utilise the Tactical Arms II L but I'll stop right here... Try create some of your own like a Crossbow Launcher Form or something! XDc

Anyways, applying the clear parts included to see how they turn out visually... ^_^

The clear parts only cover the pelvic area along with the thighs, hands and abdomen...

Looks surprisingly eye-pleasing to me... ^_^ I think I'll keep the clear parts on Red Frame Kai from now on... :3c Still, it'll be rather nice if only Bandai would include clear parts for one whole arm and leg at least... ^^;

And the review draws to a close...

Before parting ways, here's an omake: Mobile Sentai, Astranger!!! :<

As with Blue Frame 2nd Revise, all the perks and flaws can be found on Red Frame Kai as well...

Loose parts here and there detected on the V Fin and the Saya holder on both thighs as well as no golden coated parts for the Gerbera Straight x Tiger Pierce had me in despair... >,< No original Beam Sabre Backpack included and a weakly detailed feet design further dragging down the score on this kit... ^^;

Yet, this kit is my fave rite now because it's ASTRAY RED FRAME! :3c

    Maybe it's because it requires time until they hit the target and who knows, maybe they only use it in a very long distance something that even a sniper cant. Then again, I might be mistaken. ^^

    Just wondering, how did you attach the original 1/100 red frame's backpack on? I've analyzed the instruction manuals for both, and can't seem to find an easy way to do so.
