Upgrades all around....

Posted by battrastard [www]

Starting off, I picked up a 1:100 HG Wing Gundam at yesterdays anime con for a measly $10 USD...

Today, We thought the "Hobby Room" was a bit too small for all the things my bro and I do.........................

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

There's so much we stuffed into this room, we can't work on anything!

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

Models, paintball, RC cars. It's become more storage than a hobby area....

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

Now, we get to the new Hobby Room

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

After stripping out the old walls and such, It definitely needed a new floor.. (after falling thru it twice!!)

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

Still more to do......

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

but, an 8ft. by 30 ft. room for modeling, paintball, RC and reloading munitions will be a great addition. (plus freeing up an extra guest room in the house)

And, on to my Loot from yesterdays con....

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

I'm not sure whether this a popular mech as far as Gundam goes, but I liked the look of it, and for a 10 dollar price, I'm not complaining...

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

The instructions are all in Jp, but the illustrations are easy to follow....

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

Even a color code seems easy enough to go with. ( If I feel like it, I dunno yet, "Night-Bird" sorta sounds interesting)

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

Of course, Meiko wanted to see what I got............

Mouseover = load notes.
Upgrades all around....

I Has Beam Sabaaaaa~~~~~~~

*Hey you, come back with that!.......................*

      I seriously don't know, it's empty, but looked enough like one, we kept it. I even put a tube with fins on the other end of it...

        Being still new to gundams, I'll ask an ignorant question: Does the HG, MG and such describe the complication/skill level needed, or the level of detail of the model?..

          HG and MG, in my opinion are quality levels and skill levels combined, my HG Exia was easier to build then my MG exia but the MG looks better than the HG

            "High Grade vs Master Grade"? If I guess right, the MG has the inner structure? I noticed mine has the joints incorporated into the main parts of the outer armor.. btw, thanks for your input, it's very helpful..

              From what I understand, High Grades are usually 1/144 scale while Master Grades are 1/100.(i see Meiko is enjoying herself)

              What kind of paintball do you play? Woodsball? Speed/X ball?

        Now that you mention it, it would make a great prop as an RPG.... ;)

    Very nice! I built one of these last year and it's still the model I like the most. (till the MG comes out in April...)
