Black and White
Got my first roll of negatives back from Prolab today. This was just a test roll to get used to the camera and make sure everything's working after a repair job and 8 years out of commission. Things I've learnt so far:
- I need to clean my scanner bed ^^;
- Also got to sort out the dioptic adjustment on the camera. I love the split focus, but sometimes (most of the time) you just want to shoot the subject off centre.
- Needs WAY more practise.
For those interested in these things: shot on a Minolta XDs SLR, 35-70mm lense with Ilford Delta 400 black and white film.

Shot in Campos behind James Street market, Fortitude Valley. We were lucky with where we got seated in the cafe as it was right next to the window into their roasting/storage warehouse.

Jeremys cafe, in the Brisbane CBD... my regular coffee stop between the bus and uni.

Under Lab wine and coffee bar.

Athena on the back veranda.

Ok, so it isn't a figure photo, I just kind of like the shot. Going to get all the dust of and re-scan at some point.

I'm digging the effect the dust has on the pics. Gives the pic this sort of vintage feel to it.
OMG!! Piazza de Oro.. oh how I miss those..
Indeed Piazza d'Oro ain't half bad :D
Personally I like Campos, Blackstar or Merlo better... but probs only because they roast on site so you get that little bit of extra kick.
Agreed - the dust has its own feel, really.
Aaaah, I miss b/w film. Love the 2nd last photo.
