Air compressors

Hi all I decided to stop pray painting and go for airbrush from now on. Now i need help on which one i should go for =S I dont understand how air compressors work. So i preordered the new petit con from mr compressor and i want your opinions on this little guy. If this isn't good, what are other compressors that are better than this. Greatly appreciated all =)

Well i don't know anything about this particular compressor, it doesn't take a whole lot of power to airbrush small scale things such as gunpla, so its hard to really go wrong with the compressor its self.

but something i would recommend highly is a pressure regulator valve (which that one doesn't seem to have nativity but can be added on. as well as a condensation collector. (pressure valves and con' collectors often come as a combo unit)

and i would recommended putting the con' collector in the MIDDLE of the line to the airbrush. as in compressor->hose->valve/collector->hose->airbrush. just so that the air has time to cool down after leaving the compressor (which tends to be warm and hence the condensation problem) so the con' collector can actually do its thing.

oh and a dual action airbrush. That's the kinda where you can control how much air you are getting independently from how much paint you are getting (in an analog kinda of way). Using single action is crazy in my opinion.

In the end, what type of compressor isn't really that important, so long as you have one. As stated previously. your type of airbrush is more important.

Having said that, having a condenser in there would be useful as there will be fluids will build up and it will also be able to adjust the pressure if you need it.
