Real Life Lucky Star High School Visit

Next stop on my Lucky Star pilgrimage is Kasukabe where Kyouei High School, the real-life high school that Lucky Star’s Ryōō High School is based on, is located!
Saying that it was a surreal experience being at the school would be an understatement. I really wonder how the school would be like during regular school days. Since it was the New Year, everyone was off on their holidays. I guess that this was all for the best. Didn’t want any awkward stares. However, according to numerous sources, the town should be pretty used to that by now. (^.^;)
More at my Blog.

Too bad you couldn't see more locations. Don't take this seriously, but I find it funny how it showed the colorful anime version and then the cold harsh grime of reality. It is like if you ever come Hollywood in America. In postcards and media, Hollywood looks sparkly and glamourous. In reality, there is too much traffic, and garbage everywhere.
Indeed, that's life! (^o^)
Your videos are always amazing!
Thanks!
was this during the chinese new year?
Nope, 1st January this year. They don't celebrate CNY in Japan.
Does the kanji on the window's say anything particular? ^^
i wonder if there usiforms are the same as the luckystar school uniforms >w<
I was here in 2008 too, the schools in a pretty open area between the fields.
You take the train at Kasukabe station to Washinomiya shrine as well. Also Kasukabe station is featured a few times in the anime too.
lol, you took the bus, I went on foot ;p
Out of the trips to Japan, the place I keep forgetting to go to is the school...
Next time, I must remember!!!
Well, this year, going to Japan again for 2 weeks so I think I have my chance!!!
