Volks K-on DD are up for sale (within Japan) through their international website for those of you that are interested. Contact your local deputy service for more information ^^;

I am sure it is because K-ON! is such a big hit in Japan. Possibly they think they can make a big profit from selling them as regular items instead of doing like limited editions?
Actually, I think it has to do with copyright issues. Volksusa would have loved to get them here.
I think they are just left overs from the event. Iv seen other limited dolls listed there too
same i've seen mai, yuki and another one, its great to see it in the internation site, since the rest of the world can't get their hands without help of someone else.

Pretty sure they haven't been religated as "regular models"... It's probably like the last kyoto dolpa event where the elf boys tanked and no one bought them... Ended up being available for purchase on the international sites without lottery... Although I do agree that it could very much be a copyright issue that's keeping them "Japan only"

Ah!, this is how I ended getting Nanoha when Volks with no warning put her up for sale like this.
I just find it ironic that with all the hype surrounding their releases, such as "No After Event lottery" and "Only guaranteed 50 of each will be available in TBSi shop", they ended up not selling out and have to stick them into general sale in the international site.
Way I see it, extra stock only hurts those folks that were selling them for a high price. At least this gives people a chance to get them for base price over paying premium.
This is a surprise. I was going to pass on them because I didn't wanna pay 80k yen on YJA but now I'll have to reconsider.
Hrrmm Yukino has really pretty hair, but they are just so expensive T^T I saw wigs for $400 alone! @_@
