MG Qubeley

Posted by Wolfman-X

An update to my previous Qubeley post due to some uneccessary comments not relating to the post from an individual, I decided to post a new one. Anyway, I took the time to take shots of the Qubeley after its topcoating which was done while building the MG Unicorn for a GB im taking part. Photo quality for at least 1 pic isnt focused so my apologies about that. Im suprised with the outcome of the topcoat and i got to thank the numbers of gunpla fans for giving me tips on how to accomplish the topcoat. All opinions and criticisms are appreciated, its how people like myself learn from them. Enjoy :)

The only blurry pic of them all *Sigh* My apologies

Top coating gave it a more smoother finish. Sorry for those who prefer the gloss finish the kit originally came with but I just love my matte/dull coat

Older shots of the Qubeley before the topcoat. I do notice the difference with the older pics and the current pics

I wanted to get this one last time when I saw it in a local store. For 4,000 yen, it is not a bad price for a MG. Did you enjoy making it?

Well the topcoat really did make a difference. Most would just brush this off as average if they didn't know it was handpainted. Props to you man.

Lookin' forward to the manly Unicorn.

So what did I tell ya.. Matte topcoat smoothens out the unevenness of your handbrushing. Looks really good now :3

yea the overall look is more refined after the topcoating. theres no uneven look of "sandmarking" which someone said. havent topcoated the Tau exia, but the thing needs some touchups for fading paint before topcoating. quite a lot needs to be ready for the con im going to in a week

thanks for the tip for topcoating arein :)
