MG MS-06F Zaku II v2.0

Posted by Karl

Built completely OOB. The client requested heavy weathering. I used military colors close to the stock colors to make it look more realistic and added graffiti for fun.

Both from the internet and my scale modeller friends. I started out in armorama.com, missing-lynx.com, and other various military modelling sites. They all have extensive articles on how to do weathering, diorama making, painting. and other stuff you'll want to learn. You don't even have to ask around, just read the different articles and build logs in the forums. That's how much info they have. Then I joined the local IPMS branch a couple of years into this hobby. Well, let's just say that there's no better way to learn than actually talking to the person while he/she's showing you the process.

That's pretty impressive. Weathering has always been really difficult for me, and yours looks great. Less is more right?

Thanks! I actually went a bit overboard with this. Imagine those paint chippings in full scale. They would be so big that the pilot will probably be smacked hard on the head by the crew chief for ruining the mech XD

    You sir, are brilliant.

Made me realize that IRL pilots really do this things with their machines i.e. nicknames.

As been stated, the weathering is superb.

I should really hang-out more at mechapinoy XD
